  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's effortless to use, and the layout is clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
It makes sense, but it's a bit annoying that you only have a certain amount of tools unless you pay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucidspark with my robotics team to brainstorm ideas for our robots. The moveable sticky notes make it super easy to re-arrange ideas.

Simple & Effective - A student's perspective on Lucidspark

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is hands down the best whiteboard-like digital product that I've ever used. Easy to use, yet surprisingly powerful. Lightweight, Quick & Snappy. A breath of fresh air when contrasted against the plethora of collaboration and mind-mapping software on the market (the ones that I've actively used at least).
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidspark is awesome (in both theory and practice), and It was a blast to use. But... I do find the price a tad too expensive (as a student on a tight budget). So, sadly, the free version of Lucidspark will have to suffice for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly used Lucidspark for mind mapping, in both personal projects and school-/work-related assignments. Lucidspark's adaptability made a project's initial workload much easier (Ideation) by giving its users the ability to work with the product in their own way. I personally loved to use Lucidspark like a notebook, noting down ideas and thoughts that related to the projects that I was working on. Later, allowing me to organize them as I pleased (often by color-coding them and categorizing them).

Need to take notes during a lecture? Say no more! You can even share a workspace with a group, allowing you to take notes collaboratively.

Working in groups? Perfect! Create a new workspace or invite your team to an already existing one. (Real-time collaboration)

Don't know where to start? Use a pre-made template... or two!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In my opinion, Lucidspark is best used in smaller groups & in a fast-paced/iteration-focused work environment. Business Development, Design Thinking, and MVP-Ideation. Lucidspark would probably work excellently in a Lean-/Agile-based project pipeline.

The paid versions of the product all offer different perks/functions, and my advice would be to activate a trial or buy both Lucidspark (For real-time collaboration) & the closely related app "Lucidchart" (Flowcharts, mockups & simple data-based visualization).

Try it out! Lucidspark (at the moment of writing this) offers a free trial for almost all their paid plans. Brainstorm some ideas, check out their templates, and... most importantly, have fun! Because real-time collaboration and project conceptualization shouldn't be a chore.

Awesome diagramming software

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the tool's flexibility and the numerous options for creating successful business flow charts and use scenarios. Additionally, I can easily share this knowledge with coworkers. Lucidchart is my first choice for system design, flowchart, and business use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd also like to see a larger range of graphical types. Since the majority of my graphic design is used to express details and meaning, providing a graphical representation would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lucidchart to explain business theory, architectural design, and community discussions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and a shot. I believe that seeing it first hand will be more informative then looking online.

Great way to draw up block diagrams and mind maps

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the lines and how you can add/remove arrows intuitively. Also like how the lines autocurve when routing between boxes
What do you dislike about the product?
need to convert to LucidChart from LucidSpark to embed in Confluence page. That is a pain. Also the interface between the two is slightly different and that leads to a little confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
drawing block diagrams and mind maps from brainstorming sessions
