Great, easy-to-use diagramming software for many use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart was really easy to pick up and use, since I just wanted to hop in and update some diagrams made by a past team member.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limits on how you can resize the viewports, which required me to do some more intense editing in a separate editor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart has been a great tool for solving a recent need for more visual documentation.
Incredibly Quick and Easy Flowchart Creation
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to create flowcharts and CONSORT tables using Lucid quickly. Much easier to move boxes around and ensure that the spacing is even across the diagram instead of something like Word.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only option I wish they had was to save out diagrams in a format that maintains editability and high resolution (like .emf format), but this is a particular request. Other than that, everything was great and intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we were looking to solve was creating diagrams/flowcharts quickly while maintaining a professional aesthetic. We found that using other common platforms was taking too long, was not easy to use, and did not have a refined presentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need an easy way to create diagrams or other visualizations, this platform has made that quite simple.
Professional Charting Software
What do you like best about the product?
The look of the charts is pretty. I don't find myself in want for a different look. Many charting applications have very squared-off graphics that are utilitarian and boring. You can change the background and many other colors to make your charts look great. It is effortless to connect chart objects. Overall, the interface is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find anything that I dislike. Everything I've tried to use works correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have only used the UML activity charts for a client project. I am currently completing that work and find myself more productive using this product over others I tried.
Diagramming
What do you like best about the product?
Fluid workflow gives Lucid an advantage. Also, the user experience is very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure if I dislike anything at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for making Boundary Diagrams.
Fantastic diagramming tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, you can create detailed diagrams in just minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet run into any issues; I have used Lucid chart for process diagrams, which has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Defining processes clearly has helped our team stay on track and overall productivity has increased as a result.
Breadth and Options
What do you like best about the product?
The library of options is extensive and easy to load into your workspace. The options are extensive in the IT domain but many other libraries are available for organization charts and creative concept maps
What do you dislike about the product?
Some objects rotate their orientation with language; it would be great to rotate the object but lock in the orientation of the words.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mostly using Lucid in creating graphic organizers for writing a book. I anticipate using it for our organizational chart.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The interface is relatively intuitive. Review the libraries early.
WFH life saver!
What do you like best about the product?
how easy it was to move resources around as well as choose what details to include
What do you dislike about the product?
Should be a way to indicate duplicate resources.
Also should more easily be able to show a resource that's across (2) or more different depts.
Also should more easily be able to show a resource that's across (2) or more different depts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting hired during a pandemic made it hard to learn all the players in my global role and even harder to remember who does what.
One month in- already recommended to colleagues!
What do you like best about the product?
The built-in tutorials and available instructional videos make Lucidchart very user-friendly, even for new users of the tool. The learning curve is slight- you shouldn't be intimidated in using Lucidchart for the first time.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it is easy to navigate in the web browser, a desktop app would be handy for integrating into other collaborative tools. It would be helpful to have templates in the healthcare field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a diagramming tool is very useful when creating visuals that I can use to explain healthcare terms and processes to a team unfamiliar with the industry. I can see future use of Lucidchart when diving into new project management opportunities- they are easy to get started and professional looking so that you can drop it into a presentation or document.
Great product for Chemical Process Diagrams and RCAs
What do you like best about the product?
In order to get the full functionality of LucidCharts, I needed to purchase a subscription. I was a bit wary at first, but found that the power of the program was completely worth the cost. I have been using LucidCharts for about three weeks and it has all the power I need in an easy-to-use interface. Entry price for full functionality is reasonable, which was nice for a small business. The learning curve for the Root Cause Analysis Template was not steep at all after you got the hang of it. I especially appreciate the zoom bar at the bottom of the page so I get the the figure parts lined up perfectly. All in all, this program is much easier to use than a certain Microsoft product for charting.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it was difficult to find the right symbols for chemical processes, but after some searching they came up. Also, shutting off the "snap to grid" function was a little tricky to find but after that, it was smooth sailing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had to make a process flow, piping and instrumentation diagram and an Ishakawa diagram for a client. The templates in LucidChart made this quick and nearly painless!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Much easier to use than some other diagramming products
Very easy to create and share designs
What do you like best about the product?
Tool was very easy to use and much easier to share designs witb others
What do you dislike about the product?
None as of now. I haven't explored all features yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart provided a platform where I can create and easily share design charts (system, data models, etc.) directly within the tool or export/import others
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool and easy to adopt. There's a free trial version.
