Excellent platform for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to get started on Lucidchart and there are a lot of great features for collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of different components for creating charts and sometimes it is hard to filter for what you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming for technical design docs and architecture overviews is incredible on Lucidchart. It makes the team more productive and is more accessible for everyone to be on the same page for architecture.
Love the endless features and capabilities!
What do you like best about the product?
I think the flow chart flows are helpful to use in every aspect of a company. Also love all the templates available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more shapes and options for inserting different images into the field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is helping my company clear up the flow of responsibilities or what order specific tasks must be completed among the whole team.
Essential tool for UML
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Lucid charts to create UML class and system diagrams. I also use it to create flowcharts for presentations easily. Their UI works well and I have never encountered an issue accessing it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the placement of diagram components is not intuitive. I would also like more freedom to customize or create new elements. It would also be nice if I could limit the connection attachments so they would only connect to element nodes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an easy platform to design software and create flow charts and diagrams for presentations. I am a fan of clean, minimalistic software design presentation that gets the points across without too much clutter. The only other option I liked in terms of production is LaTeX which is much more involved and not very flexible.
Lucid Review
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to manipulate flows when on with customers. Many customers comment on how much they like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Very intuitive. Love the flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clear conversations with the customer about their network and designs.
Great UI, Easy to use and Collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive - I can easily put together diagrams, collaborate with colleagues, share documents in a variety of file types. I appreciate that LucidChart also "snaps" pieces into place for me, too, so everything stays clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing is a bit unclear. It'll take a me a couple tries to get the file structure correct and make sure everyone has access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I start most of my sales cycles with a BPR, so having LucidChart helps us both map out a process, wireframe solutions in Salesforce, and collaborate on integration overviews. It keeps my fully remote team on the same page.
Collaborative, fun and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The auto-save feature as well as being able to see all the changes you made in the history section. I also like how the arrows automatically align to the box you are creating next. Makes "final touches" editing very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use it for mapping out lifecycle journeys within CRM. I wish there was more icons that spoke to that side of charting (email, iPhone, web, product etc. icons)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Displaying the diner lifecycle in a way that is clear and easily able to update as things change.
Very easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
I find LucidChart easy to understand, navigate, and utilize. As a beginner, it was not difficult to navigate through the tool and figure out how to create a flowchart. I find ample features and helpful tips and tricks if I have questions about the SW or how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside to using LucidChart is that you need a license to gain access to all of the awesome features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Org Charts helps to visualize how departments are currently structured as well as visual future changes for consideration.
Diagramming helps me understand current and future state options for structuring processes.
Diagramming helps me understand current and future state options for structuring processes.
Great for Project Management & Event Planning
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely customizable so that you can get exactly what you need
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as intuitive to use so achieving some of what you would like to make/create requires a bit more creative thinking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming floorplans for events as well as general workflows
Essential
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to pre-populate common shapes I need for flow charts and care processes is essential to streamlining my work. I can color code and layer the work as I see fit and collaboration via LucidChart is great. You don't run into barriers when collaborating with team members outside your organization like you do with many other platforms (e.g., Microsoft).
What do you dislike about the product?
LucidChart doesn't always make it easy to customize my flowcharts the way I want or in the direction I want. Downloading as an image (sometimes, file types are wonky or just overall don't crop correctly) or adding data to my diagrams (which I currently cannot do) are some areas for improvement of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a researcher and do human centered design. This makes my interview results and design recommendations much more transparent to my stakeholders- whether they are healthcare organization leaders, end users, participants to whom we are showing what they told us, or for reporting my research findings in a publication.
Lucid helps define workflows and gather understanding across parties
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid allows me to define theoretical and hypothetical workflows clearly to individuals who do not have first-hand experience in what we are building. Using Lucid has allowed me to set expectations with clients in a digestible and reviewable manner, which helps with change management during implementations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I don't like about Lucid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designing an ambiguous theoretical workflow for the first time, Lucid is helping me set expectations for what happens at which state during the solution in a format that can be reviewed by technical and non-technical members alike.
