Easy out-of-the-box solution with many many features
What do you like best about the product?
I find it sleek and easy to use, especially with little or no training from the start. It's similar enough to Excel or Google Sheets so it makes sense to others as well. I think the trainings & webinars done by our company's Smartsheet CSM are very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the sharing of sheets aspect to be a little confusing. Especially if I'm trying to find a sheet from my company that should be public. I'd like it to be easier to search and discover valuable public sheets in my org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use Smartsheet as a way to track my projects from a high level and provide visibility to cross-functional teams. Similar to how I used to use Trello, Smarthseet organizes my work into tiles that I can progress through stages. It also has an easy way to add notes and add collaborators if needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Smartsheet is that multiple people are able to work on a document at one time. Unlike Excel or other programs where you can only have one person working in it at once, Smartsheet allows for better team collaboration and an enhanced user experience
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the initial most difficult thing to get used to when using Smartsheet is the differences between it and other programs like Excel. I wish that there were more readily available training programs, or a more basic support team that was able to assist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issue that we were trying to solve when looking into switching over to Smartsheet was finding a way that our project teams could all have access to and edit documents in live time together.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the how easy it is to lock down rows that I want my team to have viewing access. Now I don't have to worry about someone else accidentally changing a value or adjusting something without my knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is intuitive in many ways; however, it is a struggle formatting it the way I would format an Excel or a Google Sheet file. For example, it took me about 6 months to figure out how to hide/nestle columns so I didn't have to look at everything at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves the problem of sharing sensitive hiring/salary materials across a select team without having to worry about security breeches. It also allows us to track all changes to the excel sheet so I know when there is new info to update in our hiring program manager.
Review of Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and use automation workflows and online forms. Easy to configure and use the Salesforce connector. I also use and like the Data Shuttle set up and use it for importing or exporting data to other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is not very advanced as you are not able to configure any calculations other than what comes with it. It also becomes quite a bit of work it you make changes in the system and want to update existing sheets. There is no ability to automatically update the automations and conditional formatting on existing sheets. The biggest issue is updating sheet references for existing sheets. All of those should be added into the Global Updates process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of complex project sheets when projects are provisioned. Saves us time.
Smartsheet is an extremely effective tool for tracking various ongoing projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to assign people to specific tasks and then generate automated emails to ensure progress for each project is tracked accurately. Creating a GANTT chart from the Excel data input creates a clear and manipulatable picture.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting Smartsheet to Excel files to better generate detailed graphs and charts has proven difficult through live data connection. Having more options to create and manipulate data to create graphs would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps to manage and juggle the multitude of projects we take on simultaneously as a manufacturer in the construction industry. Smartsheet has helped tremendously in managing timelines effectively by each sector of business.
A valuable tool for a variety of applications from a higher education professional
What do you like best about the product?
I like the versatility of the product. We use it for intake forms. Informational dashboards. Help Request Forms. Anything requiring any sort of data collections. It is great for.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be overwhelming at first to figure out how to utilize it's features. When I first started using it, I went in blind without much knowledge of the product or what I was doing, and ended up messing up some existing forms/sheets we had.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for a lot of our task management, creating a list of projects that need completed and informing everyone of the status/progress. We also use it for Help Requests to create tickets for our clients that need help. We also use it as a dashboard for a hub of all of our information for employees
Everything In One Place
What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful to me is the fact that all of the documentation for each project is all in one place. Nothing is ever more than a click or two away.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful part of Smartsheet is that you need a significant SOW in most cases to complete the integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep all project information in one place. This allows me to be much more efficient in my workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration is straightforward. Automatic reminders for calibrations needing to be renewed are high functioning. Feels very secure, and all of my data is secure. Automated emails are a fantastic feature. The ability to add attachments and comments to rows are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, wish the autosave feature was better. Overall, I am very happy about using smart sheet and the ability to have multiple sheets for multiple people to work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a record of all calibrated equipment with all inventory numbers, equipment parts, vendors, and location. Reminders of when equipment is due for a new calibration is great
Smartsheet Is a Tool to help with Success
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar view and Gantt view are great for keeping a shipping and project management schedule. The system is hardly ever down, and the support team is active in their responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could select multiple boxes while editing a form. It would allow me to build new forms and make significant edits to preexisting ones. Same with dynamic views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet runs our company's entire order processing system, WMS, and billing. Our shipping schedule is run off Smartsheet for all our company's operations. We generate packing lists and estimates for clients and vendors. It is a highly versatile tool that can improve any business.
SmartSheets has been an effective collaboration tool to gather team inputs
What do you like best about the product?
The capability to share and collaborate within the workspace sheets, and receive inputs seamlessly through sharing forms. I like the ability to have required and non-required fields within the form, and be able to have email updates from SmartSheet whenever any changes are made.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside has been the learning curve of using the automation tools and everything that SmartSheet has to offer. While there seems to be many benefits, it is difficult to incorporate all of them due to having to be familiar with the functions and not truly understanding the quickest and best ways to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Smartsheet has solved is organizing upcoming tasks and collecting data quickly from the team through the forms. It is beneficial because the worksheet is tracking upcoming deadlines with other pertinent information.
