User-friendly, cloud-based way to share spreadsheet information!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great resource for tracking data to be shared across multiple users and even multiple companies. It is so user-friendly and well-formatted that I use it even for spreadsheets I don't need to share with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a lot I don't like about Smartsheet. I think that the biggest issue is that I don't know what I don't know and there are probably ways I could be using it that would help me more but I'm unaware of them. It's also at times minimally temperamental when working within cells (copy/paste, etc.) that you have to get used to doing just slightly differently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a recruiter with multiple people involved in my hiring efforts due to the nature of our process. This allows me to communicate from start to end and assign tasks to the proper person at the right time, etc.
Great for traditional project management. Limited use for other business applications.

What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on copy/paste feature. Need to expand to "all" rows and columns.
Limitations on the number of sheets the user can copy to a different folder needs to be expanded.
Improved functionality needed to incorporate more features and functionality present in excel. (i.e. find/replace a value in multiple sheet names, rows or columns)
Customer support is very slow and is not available via on-line chat. Have waited days for a response.
FAQ's and other static support materials on the website are not very helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confidentiality of customer data: Enables me to share sheets with all of my customers in the same folder without the customers being able to view or access other customer sheets. Customers can enter and submit their data to me without emailing me a file. Customers are not required to have a license to submit their data to me via Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
1. Low entry barrier - Smartsheet is a combination of Excel and any other basic routing tool, which are both familiar to many teams.
2. Rich of templates - Easy to identify the required sheet and use it.
3. We use it from End to End - Starting from preparing the Roadmaps to handling operations to generating capacity reports

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sometimes I feel Smartsheet is a bit slow.
2. We would need the option to restrict deleting rows. In the current setup, anybody with Editor access can delete rows, which is the one downside I guess.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Easy to sync roadmaps between multiple teams or multiple sheets.
2. We generate a Capacity report and dashboard, which help us a lot in terms of resource management.

Excel on Steroids
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great tool for teams as multiple users can use one sheet at the same time, and functionality to add images, comments, and most importantly, attachments, make it a vital tool for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can occasionally be glitchy and the Proofing system especially needs improving. It is one of the key tools our team uses, but could be improved by having proofing stages and more automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know that the company has invested more in the WorkApps which would likely benefit my company but I have not conducted real reseach in to it. I also know that Brandfolder could be a problem solver for our company but we are already tied to a DAM system in a long contract.
Great software, easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
It is quite user friendly and integrates well across the platform (ex: dashboards, reports, linking cells, etc.). The templates are helpful and it feels like a fancier version of excel. I use it as my homepage when I log in in the morning, for agenda/ meeting minutes, approval requests, financial trackers, calendars, etc. - it can be used in many different ways and I like that they can all speak/ link to each other easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike but I would love to see more advancements in the dashboards. In addition, I wish we could save non-SmartSheet items in our SmartSheet folders so that you could save relevant documents in the same place however I appreciate that SmartSheet has the attachment feature within a smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us organize and track information in a simple way that can be read and easily understood across our organization - helps our teams collaborate more. It helps to save me time, especially the workflows feature as it sends email notifications when certain tasks are complete. It also helps me track historic information that I can then refer back to. It also allows us to share information externally through the publication feature so that we don't have to spend time re-creating an external version of the content.
A very useful business software
What do you like best about the product?
It is very adaptive. We can use it for many office needs. Multiple users can work on sheets at the same time without issue. The cell history options is great for correcting errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't as deep as we need for Database purposes. Tying long chain values to accumulating sheets has proven to be a bit too large at our company than the software seems to serve. So it hasn't been the best place for house historical data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I track purchases on a rolling log through the software. I then tie those to a master AP we apply invoices agaisnt. it is a wonderful tool for generating customized spreadsheets and entry pages.
Almost unlimited integrations and a vital documentation and communication tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The number of available integrations you can use is definitely Smartsheet's greatest advantage when compared to similar tools. As a project manager, I use Smartsheet to track project progress, team availability, and release preparation. Soon, I'm looking forward to utilizing other features, like dashboards and WorkApps, as soon as I have time to learn how those features function and what I need to do to set them up. I use Smartsheet every day at my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integrations available within Smartsheet are challenging to set up initially. Fortunately, plenty of support documents and videos guide you through the entire setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me to track project progress from sprint to sprint and accurately create more precise timelines for project planning. I also use Smartsheet to track and quickly reference team availability during sprint planning meetings to better estimate how much work can be accomplished during the sprint and which departments might need to plan for less work, given upcoming holidays or time off.
Smartsheet is an excellent collaboration tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has the flexibility and included configurations that make building new apps and workflows easy yet very powerful. Other tools we have used previously required much more IT intervention to initiate, with Smartsheet business users have the ability to move quickly on their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we have experienced very few downsides using Smartsheet. Maybe more prebuilt APIs would allow more expansion of the solution into other areas of our operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables communication workflows to move between departments in our organization with complete transparency. Moving a great deal of project planning and execution out of email and into Smartsheet has helped us to uncover inefficiencies and bottlenecks in our processes.
Simplifly process
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to build a form, you don't need to be an expert to be able to build a form, and this brings so much quality to our users based on the form submissions you are able to create the automation, which is a big plus.
Also started using Dynamic views and I was able to create a business process to be followed easily by my team and also provide the information from previous requests raised by our users.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some functions that definitely need to be improved ASAP. Like the hyperlink feature, you cant choose if it will open in a new tab or the same, and this has different behaviours in embedded forms that you can not control. Also
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way to people submit a request for a team. Every SmartSheet we have, we can have a form interface to connect with our users with a very simple UI that does not need any specific training.
Collaboration and Automations Galore
What do you like best about the product?
The Data Shuttle integration allows our team to track shipments from the moment the EDI arrives in our system. We have also set up many automations to run once the Smartsheet is refreshed to cut down on the number of emails our team has to compose and serve as an initial safety net to catch data issues that may arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The row limit is the biggest obstacle to our team's uses. With how many fields our team looks at, we are limited to around 5,000 rows of data. To get around this limitation, we have created several different sheets and filtered the data in different ways to keep the row count below the limit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets solves the issue of collaboration for us. Our team of 7 can seemlessly make updates simultaneously without having to deal with clunky spreadsheets. It has also greatly reduced the amount of time we spend composing and sending emails with the automatic notifications.
