Simplify workflow management and data collection
What do you like best about the product?
I like the efficiency and organizational capabilities of Smartsheet. Its intuitive data collection forms allow me to quickly and accurately capture the details of a project. Its project management features are essential for our in-house production and graphics services, allowing us to track tasks and progress. Everyone involved stays informed and on schedule thanks to an organized matrix grid that simplifies the established workflow, timeline, and goals. This is an invaluable tool for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that Smartsheet does not allow you to download and update the template instructions. This would have saved me a lot of time and effort when modifying the PMO template. I was forced to make my own guidelines and note the sections where I changed things because the instructions did not all apply to me. The ability to quickly update and download instructions would have been very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been a lifesaver for me, eliminating the tedious task of manually monitoring project planning and spreadsheet data. With the automated real-time features, any changes are quickly flagged and I can keep track of the most important details.
Project and task management FTW
What do you like best about the product?
I find that Smartsheet helps my colleagues stay up to date and organized within one project with many moving parts - we can communicate within the app, and all associated documentation is conveniently accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering out assigned projects can be a bit combersome, but not impossible. With a few short training videos, new users can acclimate to the nuances and quirks of the app. Listening to user feedback is the best way to improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping streamline the communication process on tight deadlines, so that we all understand expectations and know where/how to reach each other without inundating email inboxes.

What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet is organized and helpful in maintaining an outline of any projects in progress. Fields can be added to cards, color-coding can be implemented and adjusted, and overall it is a great tool for the workplace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be hard to navigate the complexity of the types of sheets, using of filters, logic based on current status of task, etc. Also, as far as I know, each task can only be assigned to one person. It would be helpful to have the ability to assign multiple individuals to a single task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team and task management and overall organization with projects and deadlines. Being able to create and customize a workflow, in general, is a massive benefit to my job.
Easy to organize and update
What do you like best about the product?
I love that we can easily update information and reflect it to others in the group in real-time. It makes data recording with a group so much easier and allows us not to have multiple different files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be nice to see additional features added in that allow for reporting of the data you plug in. It is a great tool that, with some additional features, could be made even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to struggle with people editing files and saving them in different locations. It was hard to know what the latest file was. This way, I can clearly track what edits were made and ensure that we are all seeing the most updated information.
Associate project manager
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is like a suped-up version of Microsoft Excel. It allows for a lot of data to be entered and be used for a number of different functions. The flexibility and number of things you can do is most impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do agree that not every page and every column always needs to be connected. Sometimes it would be nice to add some kind of widget or the like to the sheets, instead of having to leave a sheet and go to a dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet does a good job of calculating data. Smartsheet does a good job on creating timelines and workflows for project management.
Extremely versatile but still room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to communicate between sheets allows for a huge amount of flexibility. You can create new sheets to supplement the data without disturbing the architecture of the main sheet. Data shuttles are an extremely efficient way to update the data, and dashboards allow you to distill vast amounts of complex data into clear visuals for stakeholders. The ability to switch between data-rich backend sheets with lots of information to more distilled and un-cluttered front-facing sheets means you don't have to sacrifice complexity for clarity or vice-versa.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filters are helpful but limited. You can set AND/OR parameters, but I wish you could set filters for meeting a minimum number of criteria. For example, I track attendance for our professional development sessions. I would like to be able to filter for people who have missed two or more conferences (in other words, a filter that shows anyone who has a blank in at least two out of, say, six columns). Right now to get that info I would have to set an extremely complex filter that accounts for every possible combination of blanks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me track a lot of data about stakeholder performance and engagement, as well as managing tasks and workflow for myself and my groups.

I think that it is easy to create timetables, the layout is friendly. I also use to control projects and it helps me a lot

When I need to control projects, the first column is locked and I needed to create a number that needed to be serial and I couldn't do it

It is good that I can share my file withh many people and put tasks to them, so It is easy to control my projects and each person knows where we are and if the task depends on tm
Automate Everything You Can
What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the automation possibilities with Smartsheets. My favorites being the workflows and the dashboards. The ability to quickly get a glimpse at data and understand what is going on is great. Yes; Excel can do a lot of these things, but the ability to tie certain milestones and deadlines to an email notification is what separates the two. That feature alone makes a big difference.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that the hardest thing is that Smartsheets is just enough different from Excel to be confusing. I had to take a course and get certified on features before I really felt like I had understanding to build some of the pieces that we use now for our projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing us to stay organized and on top of projects. Particularly our construction and real estate projects where the timelines are always changing because of variables that are out of our control.
Simple and effective tool to stay on top of your projects
What do you like best about the product?
The app is simple to use, powerful and tailorable to my needs. It allows me to keep track of my whole area, schedule activities, analyze data and spot critical tasks in a timely manner. All of this while constantly experimenting with new management tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is complex to keep users engaged on the app. They tend to drift away from the app and work off the grid, making the tool redundant. Few more aspects of gamification could help with this

What do you like best about the product?
We really like using smartsheets because it emails all those who need notified when you make a change. We also can add notes and converse with one another.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was first intimidating to use for advanced settings, but after using it a while it is a breeze
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can work together in one sheet and it notifies who needs to do what next, and on down the line. It helps when dealing with multiple line items.
