Good for Collaboration & Planning
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet offers a simple way to plan a project that requires collaboration with multiple people. I appreciate the automation features as well as the ability to receive reminders and alerts when details have changed. In addition, the forms available in Smartsheet offer a good way to gather feedback or collect information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tend to upload a lot of files, and it would be nice to have a more user-friendly way to view or organize the uploaded files. Maybe folders or categories would suffice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a hybrid team. Smartsheet helps us plan and manage projects with ease. We can collaborate effectively and see the status of key projects when we use this tool. This tool is easily accessible to everyone, so we're all on the same page. It's also nice to have all of our plans live in one place. When we approach similar projects, we have a good starting point because we can review our previous plans.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy global management of projects that allows for traceability. Likewise, I like that it allows you to work on the different sheets at the same time, which facilitates teamwork, and I love the reminders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when a shared sheet appears separately, and sometimes it isn't easy to locate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to keep track of several projects at the same time and have the information online and more when I work with different countries.
The ideal tool for managing project collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Smartsheet because it has a user-friendly interface that makes managing and monitoring projects easy. Its customizability allows us to tailor it specifically to our company while still providing high quality data visualization tools like Kanban boards and Gantt charts. Because the process is similar enough that Excel users can quickly understand how it works with minimal training or debugging, employees can quickly adopt this useful technology and reap the full benefits! We also find the calendar view option very helpful when tracking various marketing tasks over a monthly period.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I have with Smartsheet is the lack of an auto-save feature. Compared with other web-based applications, such as Google Apps, this inconvenient and time-consuming requirement drastically hinders my workflow efficiency. If Smartsheet could implement an auto-save feature, it would greatly enhance the way I work within the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves the problem of tracking complex, multi-workstream assignments. By centralizing all relevant data in a single platform and organizing it into an efficient workspace, I am able to work efficiently with my team and collaborate more effectively on different projects.
User friendly and helpful for organization
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very user friendly for the basics and is easy to keep information organized and available to other team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features in Smartsheet but for the amount that I use Smartsheet, it is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us keep track of our training that we offer - we work for a large company and it is hard to keep everything organized. Smatsheet is our one stop shop and our whole team is able to collaborate through the use of this program with reminders, surveys, data tracking plus more.
Smartsheet makes it easy to manage projects with a dispersed team.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is intuitive and easy to use. We found the learning curve to be really quick, coming from MS Project. Smarsheet makes it easy to initiate projects, share deliverables, and manage project timelines with our dispersed team of engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we don't have much to complain about. Smarsheet has given us all the tools we need to effectively manage projects. However, we've struggled with generating PDFs or printouts of our project timelines. They seem to show the rows either fully collapsed or fully expanded, but nothing in between.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smarsheet is allowing us to stay on top of our multiple long-term projects, despite having geographically dispersed contributors. We all can efficiently track timelines, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, and budget impacts in realtime. This helps us mitigate any delays or budget creep.
Great Project Management Software with Robust Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Its intuitive spreadsheet-like interface, teams can easily organize and track their projects, assign tasks, and collaborate in real-time. The ability to automate workflows and integrate with other tools further enhances productivity and streamlines project management processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet Dashboard view could be more robust than its current iteration. A lack of widescreen viewing experience options limits its ability to be used for display board purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allow total team collaboration and communication to give a seamless project management experience. The automation aspect of the software means my projects can stay up to date without active supervision.
Easy to use

I like the fact it's online and shared between users

reducing free options earlier we could do more without having to purchase the license

We all can access the same document. Easier than excel to use. Formulas are easier we are more productive

Sometimes it can be a little slow or has some sort of issue working properly.

We can put all of our work information into smart sheets and are able to find and use it easily.
Smartsheet has been a key resource for our races and events.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very easy to use. We love the file storage and the unlimited amount of users you can invite to view your sheets. While we don't use Smartsheet the traditional way with task assignments and event management, the ability to store, share, and turnover events from year to year has really helped our race team stay organized, and have a central place to go to for all of our important event information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to share every sheet we create every time with every user has been the one thing that stands out the most. When we create a new workbook we constantly have to invite the same people over and over again to view this new sheet. It would be nice if you could just add in the users you want to view the entire account as an option instead of having to invite them to every sheet individually. Also the sheets don't always auto save like they do on Google.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving the issue of us having so many resources in different places for our events. Since we have 16 or more people working on these events at one time having all these files everywhere has made tough to organize all of our documents in one place and at the same time have a place to communicate about these documents.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the steep learning curve associated with Smartsheet, which can cause potential users to lose interest before they have a chance to try it out. To ensure that new users understand how to best use and benefit from this program, I suggest providing how-to videos on the homepage so people can easily learn how it works and quickly start using the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Smartsheet, our team is able to keep track of tasks, monitor progress, and easily communicate updates. We no longer have to worry about miscommunication or missed deadlines because it gives us real-time status tracking so we can act quickly.
