The software is user-friendly. Sharing files and the graphics run seamlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be challenging to allocate resources effectively. It would greatly benefit the project if a dashboard creation feature were implemented.
However, the export function in .pdf or .jpeg format for sharing Gantt charts with clients is problematic.
The calendar view is not very practical with a high number of activities.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can generate project Gantt charts swiftly, which can then be shared with clients.
Exporting to Excel enables me to create quotes promptly.
Furthermore, I can share project progress updates and files with multiple colleagues at a company level.

Easy to use and even easier to manage
What do you like best about the product?
As an administrator, it is easy to make the changes our users require. The user interface is not complicated, allowing the platform to be easily managed and maintained.
Smartsheet has a large feature set, we are constantly discovering new ways to work more efficently.
Our account manager is extremely helpful and even got us a price reduction on our last renewal.
Overwall, we are very happy with Smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
More granular permission levels would be ideal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to split our organisation into multiple sheets, each has an owner who is responsible for the sheet in their area. Smartsheet allows us to easily track and plan future projects.
Improved Operational Efficiencies
What do you like best about the product?
It greatly helps in simplifying our processes and way of monitoring things at work. Once project set-up is finished, we saved a lot of time and energy because the automation is already working and this allow us to focus on other valuable items, thus making the team efficient and achieve better outcomes. Smartsheet usage becomes our daily habit, while we monitor the existing set-ups, we also find more tasks and files to improve on. Reporting, dashboards, data mesh and security features are also the items we appreciate in Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Limited attachment when auto-sending email with attachment (only 1 can be attached to email)
-When sending automated email using the "links to sheet and specific fields" , the grid link is seen at the top of the body email and it seems confusing to the recipient. They always click it even if not intended to do so. Esp if there is attachment included, it is placed at the bottom with small icon. I hope there is an option if the grid link will be shown or not and the attachment is more visible.
-Vlook up reference column number is not fixed. The whole set-up is affected if a column is added before the selected column.
-Cannot use it in making org chart/ table of org (can't find a way yet)
-When moving or copying row/s to another sheet, it has to be all columns instead of selecting only the needed columns.

Manual monitoring and sending of updates via email, availability of reports and overview of tasks status, collaboration, dependencies, automation features
Given that Smartsheet has automation features, it makes me and the team more efficient. We save more time to do other important items that in the past is not being focused on.

An effective tool to store, control and share data
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using SS for the last 3 years, it's been a great experience, it has helped our team to control our data in a very efficient way.

It would be amazing to have the possibility to migrate/connect data from one database to another automatically

The connectivity among our team members improves the team's efficiency.

Easy entry for new organizers
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to enter highly specific durations and predecessors when building a project plan, request updates from team members, and use formulas for sophisticated conditional formatting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating visually pleasing Gantt charts of different levels of detail for communication to management is near impossible in Smartsheet. I typically have to export and work in different software to create presentation-ready timeline visualizations.

- incoming data files being used must be clean
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our reports for our Daily Operating Review used to be manually generated with multiple user inputs needs every morning to be able to generate the reports. Smartsheet allows us to now have that automatically generated each morning so our people can spend their time on more important tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
The upsides and benefits to Smartsheet inlcude:
1) Easy to use for users who are not technically inclined. Basic familiarity with Excel is usually enough for general usage
2) Easy user management. As an admin, managing who can access which information is important. Smartsheet allows for a lot of granularity as well as global control in a very accessible way
3) Options for how to inerface- the ability to present data in different ways- grid, calendar, "Kanban" cards, reports - makes the system very easy to adopt into a wide variety of workflows and use cases
4) Functionality- the ability to use the system in across a wide variety of workflows- project management, basic data analytics, scheduling, etc. - allows for a significant ROI from a single system
5) Compatibility with other systems- the ability to integrate with the Microsoft 365 environment, as well as other services, increases the usabilty of the system in existing workflows
As a result of these benefits, we have adopted Smartsheet into our daily workflows across mulitple departments. It has become a key tool for our teams.

1) Large Data- Smartsheet struggles with large datasets. While they have worked to improve their product to address this, our experience continues to be that this is an area that is not yet as mature as some of the other features
2) Modularity- Smartsheet requres the use of separate modules within its ecosystem to achieve full functionality. This makes the contstruction and maintenance of complex workflows more complicated due to the need to access multiple separate modules in order to utilize full functionality

We utilize Smartsheet to solve 3 problem areas for our company
1) Project Management- we use Smartsheet to develop, track, and report on large and small projects ranging from individual to-do lists up to full company-wide integrations
2) Data distribution- we use Smartsheet to aggregate and distribute data from other systems to a wide audience of internal stakeholders. The ability to upload and consolidate reports on a scheduled bases has been extremely valuable. We estimate in one department alone, we have saved 3 hrs/day/employee by reducing the repetitive work to consolidate and distribute reports
3) Analytics- we have uses Smartsheet as a basic BI tool for analyzing our data and presenting the data to stakeholders
4) Data Collecation- we have leveraged Smartsheet's ability to collect data from a variety of channels, such as forms, to collect data from internal and external participants and feed that data into analytics and reporting
5) Workflow automation- we have used Smartsheet functionality to track workflow tasks and move information along the process path to minimize the need for paper or the adoption of additional systems

Great software missing only a few things
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to link sheets. Easy to use and track data

No "vlookups" or multiple tabs per sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users across multiple companies being able to use and update the same sheets. Makes it easier to make each other aware of updates without constant emails or meetings

The forms and sheets allow easy data collection and organisation.
I love the templates as well with the tutorials.
I also use Smartsheet under a PMO format, this allows us to manage our projects in an effective way

Getting used to some of the features can take some time however this is due to using Excel for many years.
