What do you like best about the product?
I've found Smartsheet to be the most succinct view of objectives, tasks and sub-tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all platforms, it must be kept tidy to be useful. Other platforms do tend to reduce the noise well through embedded 'card' level detail, but that comes with it's own implications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want a simple, consolidated and prioritised task list which I use as a primary driver for focused effort. I've always reverted to Excel, but the GUI makes it far simpler to make quick adjustments and expound on the detail.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of using the software and the ability to create more visualy appealing documents which are easy to share and collaborate with in teams.

Having support contacts on hand to guide and help you develop your sheets is great, considering the amount of features available it means you can design the right solution from the start with guideance.

Being able to create workspaces with specific sharing permissions and ease of supporting document storage makes the one central point of reference very versatile.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is setting things up perfectly in the first place as links between sheets can often become broken if you don't understand how to put a good sturcuture in place when you first start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping people communicate and woking together in real time avoids us needing so many physical meetings and email traffic being created. Staff can also collaborate at times which work for them around their other day to day roles and tasks without having to wait between meetings to recive or view progress on actions.

Very powerful piece of software for managing many aspects of business process and project management

What do you like best about the product?
The incredible flexibility of the system to be able to quickly develop controlled sheets for many different applications. The intuitive interface and help features are very useful in speeding up configuration and development. If you have a working knowledge of MS excel and workflows then migrating across is fairly painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with all open systems, care needs to be taken on investment of time and effort to properly implement the system to best advantage. It really requires a champion within the company to fully learn the features and understand the intracies of the software. Fortunately there is a support line and tutoials which can help those involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to mamnage our project intake flow for projects and once approved is migrated to our project management system. We also link the Resrouce Managerment feature to generate timesheet data which is very beneficial in invoicing customers who require approved billable hours.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy handling. Real-time updated data. Creation of reports that update automatically. Web access from any country. Multiple users accessing the same sheet. Ability to save and share filters with other users. Simple formulation. Automatic notification via email and notifications according to desired milestones. Automatic sending of information in PDF or XLSX via email, to internal and external parties.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pivot tables are a bit more complex and provide less information than other apps. The dashboards do not include the option to apply filters with more than one characteristic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The limitation of cells and the fact that it is a feature the company must pay extra for beyond the license may hinder the development of projects with many rows and columns.

What do you like best about the product?
Using smartsheet is incredibly easy. New users can with minimal guidance make a smartsheet timing. Then with just some small additional tips, they are able to create well flushed out timing sheets. Setting up predecessors is a god send feature. Not only building new sheets but making changes to sheets is effortless with predecessors. Frankly, I have to use smartsheet every day, and never once do I dred it like I would when managing this task in excel. As well, with the intuiative nature of the softeare, integration into our team was easy. No learning curve and was instantly better than excel. As well, having the ability to request snapshots of your sheets to reference later can be incredibly valuable during post mortems. As for the couple of times I have had a question, customer support was prompt and quickly helped me with my question. The last point I want to raise is the implementation into sharing the sheet with our clients. It adds clarity and transparency to our projects. So all stakeholders are aware of where we are, going and what challenges we may face if timing must change for whatever reason.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my use cases thus far, I have not had thoughts of things that would better fit what we use this software. One comment I have heard from our client would be individuals who are new to timing sheets like this and gantt charts in general. Although this typically resolved with just some time spent and becoming familiar. Another comment I have heard was about how the interface was basic looking to some. Again, for me this is not a hiderance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us solve multi-year projects stay on track, and when it happens adjusting the projects timings due to whatever circumstances have caused it. Smartsheet removes the barrier/pain point to keeping your timing sheets up-to-date nearly daily. Leaving little to no time where any stakeholder could have incorrect information. This point alone can and has removed instances where confusion stemmed from someone using incorrect information.

What do you like best about the product?
Just how simple it is to use and intuitive when creating complex projects, dependencies and different views are so useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'm so used to using it a particular way, I may be mssing out on otehr ways to do stuff - suggestions may be useful to have now and again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flow of a project and being able to see both detaiul and overview easilya nd cleanly, also allows for quick updates that apply across the whole plan and I can trust it.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organise and link tasks to create dependancy flows and gantt charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you change a date and the predesessor column breaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to plan resource effectively and keep on track with what projects are in need of urgent and timley discussion.

What do you like best about the product?
There are lot of Automations which can be used to send automated reports.
Very nice view of the sheet with in-built colums & templates and can be easily implemented.
It can be Integrated with other softwares as well.
I use it on a daily basis for tracking my projects.
Reaching to the Customer support is also quiet easy if someone face any challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
Think about to make it more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is automating my work for sending updates and it's quite easy to fill the data. It has very vast UI which helps in showcasing top the top management.

Very helpful processes to demonstrate project Gantt Charts

What do you like best about the product?
When you understand the processes involved, they are very helpful and can show details to colleagues etc. easily. Also, I can share it with stakeholders that might not have a licence for it. When setting up, I can impliment all of the data previously used on previous Gantt Charts easily. I use this software daily and it is easy to find and open with very little delay. The features that it has are good, although I don't believe I have accessed them all yet! If I need to share with colleagues that also have a licence to use Smartsheet, they can edit it as necessary should I allow them that access, which means that intergration of data into the processes is made easier when data comes from more than one place. I have yet to use customer support but i understand from colleagues that they are very helpful also.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to show delays. In projects where they are feasibility or early stage prototypes projects, it is inevitable that delays will occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I only use Smartsheet for Gantt Charts. It solves this problem nicely for me.
