Templates for almost each purpose saved me much time.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet templates, because they are customized for our particular needs. With the ingenious features of Smartsheet templates, every department from lending to real estate has customized own sheets. We had a specific project and designed a robust sheet to speed up workflow and save us all an untold number of hours. The automatic saving feature coupled with the ability to keep tabs on the person that last modified the information is what I've gained enormously. Also, the online application made a difference in how we screen applicants and background checks have become much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no universal template, and it takes a little trial and error sometimes to get it just right. The sales template we chose, although it was a perfect fit at first glance, it had to be modified a lot to meet our department needs. The high tech training sessions are also valuable, but can also be exhausting for some.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using forms and templates has led to a significant increase in our productivity. In most of real estate projects we needed to follow several business lines, Smartsheet enabled see updates from all departments in real time.
Versatile
What do you like best about the product?
I've been working with Smartsheet for about 5 years & I love how easy it is to use. I also love the versatility. There are so many different things it can do. It's the best of Excel with a twist. Simple things like attaching documents to a line is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any particular issues with Smartsheet. It does what I need it to do. I'm sure it has it's limitations, but not for what I use it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates great visual aids. I create dashboards & link all my trackers, Gantt charts & even links to non Smartsheet items to it. It's a one stop shop for communication & tracking.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can adjust dependencies and dates easily in the gant view.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't break down tasks and have the same tasks but with different dates without duplicating. Limited colours

Gantt Chart Creation
A great way to quickly scope and plan a project
What do you like best about the product?
It's quick and easy to prepare a Gantt chart that is easy to amend.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be issues with using a Holiday calender in the automatic update mode

What do you like best about the product?
I like using smartsheet for webforms, collating and working with ledgers with different people to update and using it for my reports about staff movement and list of details in Admin or HR
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like that I cannot create sub columns below one column. The graphs are also limited in feauture unlike in Excel, I find it difficult to modify compared with excel

Intuitive capable yet simple Project Management software.
What do you like best about the product?
We like how simple it is to use but also how very capable the tool really is. The implementation is simple and an experienced project manager will merge him selve into the tool within minutes.
We work with it daily and everbody is quite happy with it especially the fact we can work collaboratively with every sheet.
Support from Smartsheet has been exremly good, weather it is in regards of licenses or transfer of data.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a desktop app, but then again, not a marjor issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, that is multiple people working in one plan. Saves time and complex version hunting.
A flexible tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a flexible tool that combines spreadsheet features with project management capabilities. It’s great for organizing tasks, tracking progress, and collaborating with teams. The platform offers useful templates, automation, and integrations with popular apps like Google Workspace and Slack.

I guess there are be more functions that I haven't have a chance to explore.

It improves collaboration by keeping all project-related information in one place, accessible to everyone involved.
Smartsheet provides the basic dashboard and list functionality our company needs
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. We can easily create charts and dashboards for a quick glance of our most critical information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little clunky, the charts aren't the best looking. My UX team uses notion primarily, and when we need to colaborate with our other departments, we use smartsheet because that is what they primarily use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for organizing critical data as well as work flow management. I can easily see what phase of a project an item is in. I use smartsheet primarily when I need to look at general company statistics and knowledge because the other departments build all that in smartsheets.
Easy, fun, organizational and aesthetic work tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use as the instructions and informationals are most helpful for the first time user. The capacity to organize and delegate work is irreplacable. You can grant access to other users to edit or own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havn't run into any negative downside with Smartsheet thus far and I have been using for 2+ years.

Smartsheet collects information and organizes responses. Smartsheet alerts the proper person when a task is complete
Great for Specific Purposes
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has several great features that can be very useful—ones that serve my team in particular are: a) multiple forms being able to feed into one sheet, b) the Smartsheet–Google Docs Merge add-on, and c) of course, the dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just some minor picks: I personally would appreciate if Smartsheet did not require the user to manually save. I would also like the option to export as CSV.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been helping us in planning small- to medium- events mostly in one place. We collect RSVPs through Smartsheet, which is great because we're able to easily provide tailored forms to different types of attendees (e.g., presenters vs regular attendees). My event planner has an automation set up to move rows from the Active Events sheet to the Archived Events sheet after an event has passed. Through linking, my event planner also has her budget/finances sheet for each event feed into the Archived Events sheet, which then feeds into a comprehensive dashboard. Overall, it helps keep things organized and reduces the amount of busy work.
