Smartsheet use in landscape and pool construction company
What do you like best about the product?
Sharability and ease of use, features are familiar to users of excel

The online app seems less reliable than the website version

Scheduling for multiple construction teams across 2 businesses
I love using Smartsheet as it has made tracking or multiple projects easier for me and in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
The automations are really nice and being able to ping folks when they are tagged. This allows for me to ensure that everyone has the same visibility of tasks that I do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that we still have to hit Save everytime a change is made, it would be nice if that was automated. Additionally, it does not allow me to move "completed" things to the bottom of the sheet- that would be very nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is giving me the ability to have all of my projects in one place and that is appreciated because I no longer have to go looking for files in my laptop. It is also providing everyone with the same visibility i have in terms of tasks, resource allocation, and upcoming projects- this has allowed or greater transperancy on my team.
Smartsheet has excellent abilities to easily create project timelines and keep them organized.

Smartsheet's timeline creation software has many features that makes use a breeze
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, smartsheet works great! I would not change anything about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to create timelines that far exceed the functionality of other options we have explored
Great application with a confusing change in pricing
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is great for managing processes that require approvals from different areas. It does things that are nearly impossible with Google Forms and Sheets or with Excel. It's also good for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet announced changes in its pricing structure in 2024. It's nearly impossible to inderstand how we are going to be impacted by those changes. It could mean that instead of paying 1000 a year we would have to pay 5000 a month. Talking to a representative was not helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keepint track and controlling diferent processes.
Dashboards are doing wonders and numbers!
What do you like best about the product?
How everything can be tied back to a central dashboard. It's clean and easy on the eyes. User friendly, and a must have for data & analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I have found to dislike about Smartsheet. I'm also at the mind that just because I don't like it doesn't mean others will agree- Smartsheet isn't a one size fits all so that the great thing about the software. You'll find what you're looking for and the format that works best for you and your teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's centralizing out data and analytic reporting and providing a dashboards for others to review autonomously without having to inquire directly. It's saving tons of time for others!

Reminding me of all the task that are pending and it sorts it by importance

Essential for effective project management
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of use in project tracking is what I like the best about Smartsheet. What I like about visual timelines, task dependencies, and Gantt charts is I can see the bigger picture easily. It’s also good for teams and resources management, it tracks workloads. It has features like automated reminders to help ensure nothing slips through the cracks. This is by far one of the best tools for team coordination and keeping accountability.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is a great tool that we use to project manage big programs, it gets very messy and overwhelming when multiple people are using it to work and collaborate on large projects. It is easy to overwhelm the users with the vast amount of displayed information and to distract from the task at hand. Moreover, the reporting tools are not flexible enough to be tailored to user needs and thus slow the decision making process. It’s also complex for new users to become productive quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you manage multiple projects at once then Smartsheet works great. It has task tracking and timeline features to keep your projects on schedule as well as resource management in order to allocate tasks. The automation of status updates have saved some time and stops having to do manual work. We have actually been able to make project coordination a lot easier and get things to the portal easier on time and track the progress of several teams.
Overall is good, but has some limitations

The dashboard for status of the project is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limitations that SS can not do but excel can. Also found the spreadsheet view is difficult to adjust like excel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the overall status does help a lot, but the dashboard view is hard to see all the columns unless keep scrolling to the right
Efficient and User Friendly for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the automation and other features that allow for multiple reports and dashboards to be automatically created from data. I like that you can share tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there is no easy and quick way to request for a specific feature and function. It seems like the things we need often times lives in a premium app or separate Smartsheet tool type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage our organization's accreditation readiness work. Smartsheet has been a great solution and tool in tracking the many moving pieces and various projects.
