Smartsheet has been useful
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about smartsheet is how easy it is to capture data and turn it into an easy to read chart for others. Another aspect of smartsheet that I love is the forms that can be created and easily linked from our website which we use to recieve, approve and review permit requests and other requests from event attendees and coordinators. I use Smartsheet several times per day, and I would say that others in my organization do as well. I have not had to have an experience with customer support yet, as I have not had any issues with my account so far. I appreciate how easy the software is to use, and it integrates well with the systems that we have in place at my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced many things that I disike about smartsheet. I do beleive that I had trouble at first figuring out how to create the right sheet, but I was able to troubleshoot my own issues with my supervisor. This came as a result of a lack of training or experience with using this software as this is the first organization that I have been with that uses smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides me with a space where I can benchmark other event venues all in one place. The feature that I like most is that you can create dropdowns which I use for each school which allows me to seperate a large number of venues into a small number of rows on a sheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Workflows and automations are easy to set up and are reliable - they work!

Some of the functionality is a little clunky still, needs to be slicker like MSoft etc

automation and tracking of tasks and plan items
using smart sheet but probably not to its full potential

What do you dislike about the product?
*Currently very slow opening and loading new sheets
*you can updated multiple lines at once- eg the same comment needs to be added on multiple lines - you can not do this in a bulk you have to go into each one line by line
*we have no customer support and the one time we really needed it i was told no one could help and it took days to get this response
* hard to work out how to get the system to impliment automation - ive tried but cant get it work
*if you havent submitted a comment, you get a pop up but you cant click and be taken to the line with the comment to submit it, and have to scroll up and down untill you see the little pen
*when you set a reminder on a line, again you cant click and be taken straight to the line on the smart sheet
*more support required on how to use the systme to the full potential as im sure it can do more for us but need an account manager to dicuss and support with this or we will in the near future have to look to move to a full CRM to make our life less manual and admin heavy

its the only system our business has used, but we need it work better for us currenty its so admin heavy we have no automation at all so can be very laborious, we cant even click and buttom and pull reports. so not functing as a CMR
Great to collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
This is an easy to use tool with great collaboration features. It's powerful for medium complexity projects and to replace spreadsheets that requires a lot of people working on it. The Workflow and Notification features are good to automate processes
What do you dislike about the product?
Cell limiations, Performance on large datasets and Access Management capability. Lack of integration with Active Directory is a big issue to large corporations. Performance and limits on number of rows, cells and formulas is a roadblock for large organizations and projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Schedule Management, Project Calendar, Project Onboarding, Project Execution Controls, Specific Trackers replacing excel sheets. Biggest benefit is collaboration and automated workflows for approvals.

Smartsheet is user friendly and a great visual tool for members of the project group all the way up to high management

Smartsheet is a great way to give any level of visability to a project or budget that is requested

I like that notifications can be sent when tasks are completed or comments are left on entered tasks.

Sometimes notifications don't make it to my inbox.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to turn data into charts fairly easily. It was a learning curve, but now that I have it down it is super super nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
When trying to open multiple things at once (say I need to open a report, and a sheet), I wish that they would automatically open in a new tab. It becomes tedious to get everything open that I need to.
I also struggle sometimes with editing a dashboard, as the cursor becomes super finicky. It often thinks I'm trying to grab things that I'm not. I also wish that the centering feature worked more often. When I'm trying to center a title on a dashboard, it seldom pops up with a red line to show me where the middle of the page is. I then have to resort to counting each tiny box on both sides to find the middle.

I wasn't a part of the team that bought access to Smartsheet, and I don't use it for all purposes listed in the "Feature Ranking" section. Our Outreach Team uses a sheet to organize ongoing projects. It helps us manage roles and deadlines.
We also use it for data visualization, as our program provides basic need subsidies to college students. Example: I worked on a dashboard to visualize our data for a winter break grocery store gift card program. Students applied, and I used that data to visualize demographics, and potential funding decisions. Ultimately, we used visual reports on the dashboard to make on the spot funding decisions with a partnered program (who doesn't use Smartsheet).

A Versatile Tool for Project Management and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been a game-changer for managing my projects and improving team collaboration. Its intuitive interface and versatile functionality make it a top choice for both simple task tracking and complex project management.

Handling very large sheets with many rows and columns can occasionally lead to slower performance or loading times.

What do you like best about the product?
Blank slate to do anything you can image, as long as you can figure out the formulas and process to make it happen.
If used properly, can migrate your organization out of emails and excel, connecting many stakeholders at one time while staying on top of your data.
Automated auditing. Almost everytime I help someone go from excel to SS, the system automatically identifies a ton of errors in their data. Excel can store data for you but it wont provide immediate insights like SS will.

What do you dislike about the product?
Making changes to existing ecosystems can be difficult and sometimes tedius enough to the point of not getting done. For example, making a dashbaord based on 10-20 reports for charts and viewing. Then changing a column name and adding in a few new columns, getting those added to all those reports can take an unaccepable amount of time updating compared to having say a base template report that would update all that are based on it.
When adding new people, they can get lost immediately causing bad first impressions and loss of the willingness of a user to continue using the system.
Keeping track of assets and organizing them properly takes a lot of forethough and understanding of how SS works where any slight omission can make an ecycstem look and feel bulky.

Smartsheet that changed how I manage our projects
What do you like best about the product?
I Genuinely like the automation feature and reports. I have even have the accessibility to the complex project through my mobile app that make me stay updated through out the my life.
I use daily smartsheet to help my clients and it's easy to use.
Through the new capabilities like Generating formula with AI and collections are also good.

Though smartsheet not got me any major drawback still I feel if we could open multiple tabs inside the app then it would be better.

We are managing accounts of a mojor Energy organizations, where we are keeping track of employee expences, HR processes, Travel forms etc.
Apart from that, Internally in our organization we are streamlining our marketing and HR processes with smartsheet that helps us to stay connected and updated with our team.
