Flexible Tool with Great Templates but Needs Improved Chatbot

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface of Notion, especially how configurable and flexible it is. It's great that I can create templates or reuse ones from existing users online, which makes it easy to start and build up the initial template to share across and structure things along with it for my day-to-day use cases. The AI features are really helpful for brainstorming and putting things together quickly. Notion also helps me stay organized by managing my to-do list, ensuring I know the tasks I need to focus on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think, like, maybe currently, what doesn't really work is now we still have to, like, go to external chatbots, you know, which are, like, more powerful than, like, what Notion offers. To essentially do brainstorming, when, like, things are, like, really complex. So if maybe Notion has you know, a better chatbot integrated to solve for, like, certain use cases, from image generation to data analysis. Everything else. I think that would help more so that I could do all work in just one place rather than having select multiple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to document and structure my documents, manage my tasks, and organize different work threads. The AI features help me brainstorm and write quickly. Notion keeps me organized with my to-do list.

Versatile and Efficient, with Minor UI Drawbacks

  • April 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of Notion's databases and everything that can be done with them. The AI integration is really helpful, making it easy to find everything I need at any moment. It's great for organizing client information, especially when working on projects like building websites. All the necessary details like color hex codes, design files, and brand guidelines are readily available and on hand whenever I need them. This helps me streamline a lot of the processes I do. The initial setup was pretty straightforward and there are so many online tutorials that are helpful in learning how to use Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think maybe the look and feel could be a bit more exciting. Sometimes it's a little bit dull with the black and white tones and things like that. I think the WebClip could be a bit better. If it could be as good as Evvernote's, that would be amazing. There's a steep learning curve at the start, especially with databases, but there are many tutorials online that help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me streamline everything, making it easier to find what I need. Information for my clients is always there, ready and on hand, thanks to its powerful databases and AI. I always have my client info, design files, and guidelines accessible, which streamlines my processes.

Easy to Use, But Sharing Needs Improvement

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion to organize thoughts, share ideas, and plans. I like that it organizes information in a better way than Google Docs. It's easy to use and requires no training. I appreciate that I can use all of the features without reading a lot of guides or taking a class. The initial setup was super easy, 10/10.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's so hard to share to people without Notion. In those cases, I have to use other systems to share info. I don't want to share them with everyone but just to say the customer without them having to make an account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize thoughts, share ideas and plans. It organizes information better than Google Docs and is easy to use without any training. I can use all features without reading guides.

Workflow templates have transformed meeting follow‑up and now streamline shared task tracking

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Notion started out as a personal tool, and then I used it within a previous role to track projects as they were assigned to different parties. I introduced it within my current role to have as a landing space for shared materials and commonly used phrases, as well as track some key outputs.

In my current role, I use Notion as a way to have quick access to information. With the linking feature within Notion, I can create simple pages that have a title such as an introduction email template, and then I can click that link to access the template I have created. I worked through a lot of our processes so that we have templated items that we can quickly access.

My main use case includes having one other teammate that I primarily work with. She usually views Notion, although she could edit within Notion pages. Primarily, it is myself using it. Notion is effective as a shared workspace.

In my organization, we use Notion within our team primarily, and we use it as a private cloud.

What is most valuable?

In my opinion, the best features Notion offers are how easy it is to copy and paste templates and copy and paste certain features, such as lists or checkboxes. It is very easy to create a new page and build them out from nothing. Although I typically use templates because I feel there are many options.

Notion has positively impacted my organization because I was able to create a workflow with very low startup cost.

The workflow I created with Notion definitely saved us time so that we could synthesize what we were working on and visualize it versus having a simple checklist or having to track something through chats or emails. Having a landing page where we are able to track tasks being completed through different stages is helpful. It saves us money because not only is it more efficient, but the overall cost of Notion is low compared to other services.

What needs improvement?

In terms of improvement, the library of templates and how they are sourced in Notion could be enhanced. It is not something I interact with super frequently because once I build out a dashboard, I stick with what I know. However, I usually am grabbing templates from either influencers or YouTubers that have created something and walk through what they created themselves. Having strong partnerships with those members or having a way to search through the library with featured members might be interesting.

Regarding improvements in Notion, I watch many videos about it on YouTube and LinkedIn Learning. Building out a database for specific industries might be helpful, specifically for project managers within certain fields.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Notion is stable; everything is there when I need it to be there.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It can be tough to scale Notion and streamline how I create all the different pages. I am sure there is a way to do that; I might not have the skill to do it.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed to use one-on-one customer support for Notion, but I do use the YouTube page to learn more.

How was the initial setup?

My experience with Notion's pricing, setup cost, and licensing was streamlined and simple.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Notion; it probably cuts our time in half for post-meeting review. It is probably cost-effective by 80%. Notion is much more affordable than some of the other options.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I had tested out Monday.com, but found it to be a rather expensive service. Before choosing Notion, I evaluated Monday.com.

What other advice do I have?

I usually get my templates in Notion from another user, sometimes watching a YouTube video where they have created their template and are offering it for use.

There are many options in Notion, which is why I do not always create my own pages and use templates instead.

I would tell people looking into using Notion to watch tutorials and find the best templates so that they can get really good inspiration for what to create because starting with a blank page can be really daunting.

I Notion and I always tell people to give it a chance. Overall, I would rate this review an 8.
