Practical, Easy to Use, But Notifications Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Notion is quite easy to use and that it allows for having documents that are quite structured and clear. It is very useful for writing internal documentation and serves as an internal knowledge base. It is also convenient to have an online place that everyone can quickly access, share, edit permissions, and create spaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notifications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Notion practical because everyone can quickly access information online. We use it to draft internal documentation, create shared and clear spaces, and convey customer requests.
Streamlines Planning with Clean Layouts
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion for planning and brainstorming projects. It makes it easy for everyone on the team to add ideas and simplifies task management. I like the clean layout, nice to-do list, and table functionality. Notion's good page substructures and clean organization of projects stand out for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes commands are unintuitive, I wish there was more AI integration

I use Notion for planning and brainstorming projects. It makes it easy for everyone in the team to add ideas and simplifies task management.
Worth The Time it Takes To Understand
What do you like best about the product?
Once you get the hang of how it all works and ties together, it is a breeze to setup project management systems. This is used daily to help combat the constant flow of information that we need to scrape through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting used to how it all ties together took some time to use. There is almost too much information to choose from that it is hard to understand what to do first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a need to find ways to manage several projects, all with a constant daily flow of information, task requests, task priorities, and more. Getting this setup helped us see all of the items that we were missing. We have setup countless spreadsheets, but this helped unite all of that clutter into one location.
Powerful AI, But With A Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate having a central database in Notion where I can use AI functionality to surface a large number of details about different projects, stakeholders, and meetings. It helps me get things done in a timely manner and ensures that nothing falls through the cracks. I also find the Notion meeting notetaker incredibly helpful as it auto-transcribes meetings and summarizes them into bullet points. I like using the AI assistance to build larger projects from these notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems like there's somewhat of a high learning curve. The UI feels a little overwhelming initially, especially coming from more simple note-taking software. So I think maybe some more guidance around that could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion provides a central database for my projects, stakeholders, and meetings, using AI to surface details efficiently. The meeting notetaker transcribes and summarizes meetings into bullet points, which helps me create larger projects and ensures tasks don't fall through the cracks.
Facilitate Project Management with Some Necessary Adjustments
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to create a new document and a new page on Notion. It's almost like browsing a website.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are sometimes too many possibilities and I get lost. In my company, we have many documents with the same name, and I would like Notion to centralize them all. A search bar with a more detailed preview could help. A bit difficult to understand at first because of a lot of information and documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows me to structure projects, document everything, and set deadlines.
An amazing tool for creating and organizing information
What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible it is. It can be used as a 'brain repository' of random thoughts that can be later retrieved. But it can also be used for structured, organized information for myself or shared.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the feature boundaries/price packages aren't well aligned for my taste. Some features that are more corp are in consumer version and vice versa. More annoyingly, the basic (and fantastic) note-taking AI feature is only available with a big upcharge with many features I have no need for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing a single repository for my notes, records, etc that I can access on any of my many devices whenever I need it
AI Notes That Keep Every Call on Track
What do you like best about the product?
AI notes can be really helpful—they support me on every call and make it easier to keep track of what was discussed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing based on location is a problem. In Brazil, the monthly cost feels very aggressive because of the dollar exchange rate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me better organize my to-dos, documentation, and discoveries, keeping everything clearer and easier to find when I need it.
Standout Documentation Powerhouse with Room for Offline Growth
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for work, mostly for technical documentations, and I love the ability to write mark-ups in mermaid.js and preview them, which makes it stand out compared to tools like Google Docs and Microsoft Word. Being able to create 'codes' for JSON data is also a great feature that I use frequently. As a technical person, Notion provides an easy means to create documentation for APIs and app architecture, which is invaluable for collaborative efforts with my colleagues. It's also integrated into Slack for updates, which is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the AI features could have an extended trial period for me to really see it at work. Also, I'd like for the Notion desktop and web apps to work offline so that, even in the instance of a poor network, documentation can continue and then synchronizes when network is restored.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion lets me write technical documentations with mermaid.js mark-ups and preview them, which is missing in Google Docs or Microsoft Word. As an engineering manager, it helps me document APIs and app architectures for team collaboration.
AI-Driven Efficiency with Room for Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the AI writing assistant in Notion; it's incredibly helpful, probably more than I realized. It makes it easy to ask the AI to find information or clarify unfamiliar acronyms, products, or features without context. I use it to pull up relevant documentation, comments, and context to get a nice overview, and it helps reframe my content. This streamlines building materials for different teams, quickly speeding up those processes. I find it valuable for dealing with large amounts of documentation, as the AI can pull relevant information and give me useful summaries. It’s also fantastic for idea generation and writing support, especially when my brain is tapped out. It helps put things together, rethink ideas, and only uses the context I provide, which I find really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one of the biggest issues with Notion is that there's so much documentation, and you don't know where everything is. I feel like there are a lot of programs similar to Notion that allow more customization, like on the sidebar. I want to be able to look at documents in my own way, have my own folders, and have my own structure. I can't do that in Notion without creating a separate page and tables, which is an extra step I have to manage and maintain. Having a folder-based structure to organize existing pages in a way I see fit, even if I'm not the owner of those pages, would be really helpful for my workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion consolidates all our documentation, making it a central hub for task and content management. The AI writing assistant speeds up processes, providing summaries, context, and helping with content creation and idea generation.
