Intuitive Notebook-Like UI with Powerful Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the interface of Notion is so easy to use and clean. The UI design reminds me of a notebook, which makes me feel like I'm working analog but with the technical capabilities to search, summarize, consolidate, and organize thoughts. The initial setup was very easy for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle to make the right layout for what I need. I am still new so that may come with time. If I could ask AI what I need to track and it builds me a template that works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me organize a lot of meeting notes and documents while allowing me to search efficiently.
Powerful Knowledge Sharing with a Few Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for enterprise knowledge sharing. I like that it allows us to make powerful documents that are shareable to a broad audience with good formatting. I appreciate the rich text capabilities because it makes sharing information meaningful and easy to parse. The support for external apps is great for quickly spinning up documents. I also enjoy the powerful directory system, which helps us organize things effectively and find information quickly, even if the search function is sometimes wonky.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function generally doesn't surface the information you are looking for unless you know the exact query. It needs to be more of a fuzzy search and provide more context so you know what you're looking at without clicking into the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for enterprise knowledge sharing. It lets us create documents with good formatting, making them easily shareable. The rich text and support for external apps enhance comprehension and quick document creation. The directory system helps find information quickly when the search function is inefficient.
Notion’s Meeting Transcriptions Keep Tasks Organized and Teams Aligned
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Notion are the meeting transcriptions — they help a lot with task organization and ensure nothing gets lost. It makes it much easier to turn discussions into actionable items. I also really value having everything integrated into one single place, which improves visibility, organization, and team alignment.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Notion is the structure for creating folders and organizing documents. Sometimes it feels less intuitive to divide and structure content compared to traditional folder-based systems. As the workspace grows, it can become harder to maintain a clear and hierarchical organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving alignment and communication challenges within the team. By transcribing meetings, we ensure that discussions are properly documented and nothing important gets lost. This makes it much easier to align on decisions, define next steps, and assign responsibilities. As a result, communication becomes clearer, and collaboration becomes more efficient and transparent.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me with school projects and assignments. The AI integration connects transcripts to answers, confirming we covered the material.
All-in-One Productivity Powerhouse
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion is the one place I can capture everything, finally helping me escape the cycle of using other tools and revert to pen/paper. The speed at which I can capture and record contacts and notes is impressive; I just tell the AI assistant, and it's done in 30 seconds. I have started a database of contacts, essential for growing my business, and I love how the AI assistant automatically adds new contacts for me. I'm so happy with Notion that I'm writing my first review for a tool. I also use it to capture Zoom calls, and the initial setup was easy for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is where I capture everything, solving my struggle with other tools and breaking my cycle of reverting to pen and paper. The AI assistant speeds up capturing contacts and notes, quickly building my database, taking only 30 seconds.

Boosts Organization for the Busy and Creative
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to put all of my documents, to-do lists, or whatever I'm working on in one place, and it's really organized. I really like using the AI feature because if I'm busy or don't have the time to sit down and do the tedious work of recreating a to-do list, I can just ask AI to do it, and it does it for me. This helps me save time because I don't have to physically write everything out myself. If I'm not completing the to-do list, I can just ask AI to take all of the items I didn't complete and create a new to-do list for me, which makes it easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I just wish maybe, like, a built-in timed reminders, so if it can function as an alarm clock for the items that I put into the to-do list. And also, if it had a widget tool that way I can make it more prominent on my home screen. So this reminds me to go into the app every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep track of everything I need to do, breaking larger projects into smaller tasks, which is great for visual people like me with ADHD. It organizes my thoughts and helps me get things done efficiently during the day.
Notion Turns Ideas Into Clean, Shareable Strategy Docs
What do you like best about the product?
Notion literally takes all my crazy ideas and puts them into a clean, outlined, and strategy driven document to share with my team!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can often take you down rabbit roles due to all the different tags, toggles, and linking of pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to help create Business Briefs. It helps me keep my thoughts organized and clearly structured, giving me the ability to communicate effectively.
Structured notes have boosted developer collaboration and save time on documenting workflows
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Notion is making developer and software engineering notes and then sharing it with team members.
I use Notion for documentation of technical work that I have carried out, and because I use so many different command-line tools, I have pages within Notion for different commands that I have commonly used. I appreciate the feature within Notion that allows you to insert code blocks, which makes it very easy to read the documentation when going back. For a specific example, when I set up a Jenkins pipeline, I was writing a piece of documentation for how I did that end-to-end, including the command-line arguments that I passed in.
What is most valuable?
The best features Notion offers include a user interface that is very easy and clear to navigate, the fact that pages are embedded within other pages which makes it easy to structure your pieces of work, the ability to share it quite easily with other team members, and the ease of inserting emojis.
The page embedding feature is something I quite appreciate, as it avoids the need to create folders and then documents within them. You can create elements within Notion with one being within another, so a page within a page. That is quite beneficial and it makes it very quick and easy to use the tool, which speeds up my workflow.
Notion positively impacts my organization by improving productivity, as it provides a great way to organize documentation. By using Notion, I would say you could probably save at least 10% of your engineering time just because you are able to write documentation which is easy to read and easy to share with other team members. Teams could expect at least 10% time savings just from using a highly structured documentation tool such as Notion.
What needs improvement?
There is not really anything that stands out as a key limitation of Notion; I use it for documentation and just need somewhere to write my notes quite easily and structure them well.
There is not anything that is a standout limitation, but if I had to pick something, it would probably be that the offline mode could be improved, as most of the time you need an active internet connection for most features. The one thing that could be improved is the offline mode to make it easier to use in an offline environment rather than having to maintain an active internet connection.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Notion for around four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Notion is highly scalable; I do not manage the infrastructure running Notion itself, but I presume Notion's infrastructure can scale to however you want to use it, so there are no issues with scalability.
How are customer service and support?
I have never interacted with the customer support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Google Docs for taking engineering notes, which works fine, but I do not appreciate the code block feature within Google Docs. Notion is very good because it is very clear and very clean to read, and you can also select from numerous different languages that you want to write in, whereas in Google Docs, it is limited to probably five or fewer languages compared to Notion's over 15.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Google Docs was probably the only other option that I was looking at, but it is not really built for software engineering notes.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend people try using Notion, as there is a free trial feature so people can see if they want to use it. It has many great features, including the code block feature, the ability to insert tables, and you can insert many different types of elements, making it a powerful documentation tool. I would rate this product a 10.
My Favorite Note-Taking App—Flexible Formatting and Easy Document Creation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of creating new documents and how well you can format them. There are so many options available, which makes it really flexible for different uses. It's honestly my favorite note taking app.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing I’m still wishing for is stronger protection against accidental edits. I’d really like a feature that lets you lock pages so they can’t be edited unless you intentionally press a button to unlock them. That would give me more peace of mind when I’m working with important documents—especially ones I’ve spent time organizing and formatting exactly the way I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the challenge of having all my information scattered across different apps and tools. Instead of juggling multiple note-taking apps, databases, and organizational systems, I can keep everything in one centralized knowledge base.
The biggest benefit is that I can organize and format everything exactly how I want it. I can create a structured knowledge base where information is easy to find, with good indexing and search capabilities. Everything is in one place, well-organized, and searchable.
