Great way to structure data and organizations

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Collaborative work with all team members. Sharing processes and specifications. Collaborative meeting minutes. Brainstorming keeping all ideas. Being able to manage different type of information (reference data, projects, etc...)
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting does not work correctly
Not being able to list public pages without going to enterprise solution
Cut / paste contents with tables does not always work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had many issues keeping an up to date documentation. Project specifications would be too static and would be a short term view of an evolution.

Great for Dynamic Team Workspaces & Wikis

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The learning curve on Notion is minimal, which makes it a great tool for teams. It's fairly quick (and the team is always focused on improving speeds, it seems), and there's a pretty dynamic range of features. Also works well across platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion lacks depth in database-adjacent functionality - you can't make graphs & charts, dashboards, etc. off of your data, without using limiting (and sometimes costly) third party integrations, which is a bummer. Formulas also feel like they get unnecessarily confusing on notion databases.

There's, consequently, sometimes a level of complex customization that you can't necessarily achieve with Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes documentation & data for our team - having shared access that can be updated & reflected across the team is hugely helpful, especially as a remote org.

Notion is a powerful program for a variety of uses and they are improving it all the time

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I started with Notion a few years back. It works across my devices, and I can connect outside users in a team to share information on a project. It’s a powerful program, and I am not using nearly all the features/capabilities it offers. The Notion developers continue to add features. One example is that they have enabled a beta AI which is pretty interesting (regardless of where you stand on 'AI'). Also, I use a Notion clipper extension available for Chrome, which is great for quickly adding web page content that I want to review or keep.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve (which I have yet to master). I think that with a powerful app like Notion, you have to spend a bit of time to figure out how to make it work best for your purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to keep track of projects and events I am working on, including coordination across projects within an organization. My work involves multitudes of details, so having separate sets of notes within notes and creating filters and connecting them is invaluable. Also, it's just great for note-taking and keeping that type of thing organized.

No better tool for knowledge management

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using it for documentation, task mgt, and collaboration in the company. Really enjoying new features, especially AI helper.
What do you dislike about the product?
For many people navigation is not very intuitive, takes time to find needed info. Search is not perfect.
Sharing outside of team can become messy with little control over who has access to what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT solves documenation sharing and task management at the same time. Great to have everything in one place with cross-linking etc.
Databases are a way better tool than Excel tables for certain needs.

Best Productivity App

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Allows you to keep a track of your projects using Kanban boards.
2. A ton of customization possibilities to address your requirements.
3. The new AI feature also not only writes well but also does it in beautiful formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Calculations like excel are kinda tricky.
2. I would love to see how events on your kanban board or calendar view can be synced with Google Calendar

Other than that I love everything about Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Progress Board: Notion allows me to get a sense of all the activities that are pending on me, broken down by departments and reminds me when I should take action.

Great looking and easy to use

  • February 20, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
The templates are a great tool - one can easily edit the content. Also, you can add external links and easily display them nicely. The timeline view is great.
The look is fresh and warm compared to others. The emojis are a nice touch.
I use it primarily for project management and time frames; it looks nice while keeping it compact.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can get confusing when linking another page within a page, especially when you want to edit something within the attached page. And when adding a deadline, it takes a few trials to get the correct date in; sometimes, one moves with the change of the other (end/start).
I also work a lot with sticky notes; it would be fantastic if we could have that without integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way to store information and follow up on project steps and timelines. I need something that I can easily manipulate that allows me to have a summarised version of all my ongoing projects as a front view but in the back of it all of the information from research deep dives.

Perfect Project Management Tool for All Your Needs!

  • February 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whether you're a solopreneur or need to collaborate on a number of projects with a small team, Notion is all you need. Notion is more than just a note-taking app. Apart from its powerful features and beautifully designed UI, Notion has a wide range of templates, and everything on its pages can be customized. In addition, the free plan is more than enough for most people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Notion is an extremely useful tool for creating and organizing documents and projects, it can be challenging at first to learn how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For project management, I wanted a free app that allows me to design blank pages in the same way as a new blank word processor document.

The complete and flexible management tool

  • February 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Jira, Basecamp, Trello, Asana, Teams, Evernote, and countless other tools to manage and collaborate on client projects, Notion would appear to be the perfect software for me.

It's customisable, and can help you organise home life.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a learning curve, but the video tutorials you offer are good. Some examples of how you could use it to generate data on productivity and task progress would be a bonus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has replaced a multitude of other tools, making it my defacto app for management.

I Really Appreciate Notion!

  • February 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm using it as a website for our nonprofit and it's SO easy to update and manage with our team. I really appreciate the ease of the platform and the ability to link to tasks and notes from other pages. It's been a great solution for our nonprofit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I appreciate the task management aspects of Notion. However, it lacks the "dashboard" effect that I'm used to with other systems like Asana, Redbooth, etc. I appreciate how everything interlinks, and I understand the value of that. But I prefer the dashboard. So I use Notion for our website and notes, and then use Asana for tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I actually use it as a full website for www.humanspaceprogram.org and it has served us really well. I also use it for notes for our organization, to share concepts and collaborate on ideas.
