Notion has changed my professional life
What do you like best about the product?
Notion as a software has transformed my professional life, it has made generating and collating my ideas easier, especially with the new Notion AI tools, which I have seen evolve over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the how complicated Notion can be. Particularly for new users setting it up for business usage, it can be hard to actually grasp it and understand it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is allowing me to log my tasks and create high quality documentation with ease.
I had a notion and Notion scratched the itch
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is flexible and then some.
It is an amazing tool that is a cross between Confluence and free-form note-taking or content curating S in Evernote.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion's weakness? If there is one it might be that it can do so much. Secondly, sometimes it feels as though one can get lost in the formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an intuitive tool for managing projects.
It is a wonderful tool for logging ideas on a systematic way.

Notion is a very flexible, versatile application - with some updates it could be more powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Customization
- ability to create custom and reusable modules/blocks/templates (i.e. toggles, lists, tables, columns, etc.)
- ability to create folders and subpages
AI tools
- Notion AI is also useful for completing tedious tasks. For example, if I am working on submitting a grant application in an online portal, and it doesn't use rich-text formatting, I may need to use different cases in order to refer to film titles (as opposed to italics). With AI, i can tell it something like "change all italicized text to uppercase text instead." The standard ctrl+F/replace all tool in Google docs or Word does not apply to formatting, so having AI help with this has made certain processes more efficient.
- Having AI embedded into the app/platform also makes it easier/faster to work on things, as opposed to going to an AI platform on a separate browser.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Notion's desktop app seems to slow my computer down, so now I only use the browser version
- For some reason, the AI tool doesn't work properly when you are in the new-page pop-up window -- it only works once you are in the main page after the new page was created
- AI doesn't yet process large amounts of information -- maybe have clearer parameters so I know what it is capable of and what it isn't capable of
- For some reason, there are certain table templates that have embedded icons in the records that I cannot remove. One of Notion's strong points is its rich customizability, so this should be factored into the templates as well -- users should be able to modify most components of a pre-created template if they want to
- Consider adding subgrouping levels to the tables
- Consider allowing users to re-order automations

- Easy to create to-do list items, collapse them, delete them, select multiple at once and apply changes/edits

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion most to organize and track progress on different products. Our team recently began using the feature to connect an email automation, and have had great success for real time follow ups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion was a bit of a learning curve for getting the team on board and switching over from other products (Monday, etc.) I haven't taken advantage of any training to get the most out of the product, but if those opportunities are offered I've missed them.

Organization and team collaboration on project and goal tracking.

Notion: My second brain
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has become the backbone of my personal productivity and startup journey. For my team, it’s a game-changer: we centralize product roadmaps, track tasks, and collaborate seamlessly in shared workspaces, eliminating scattered tools. Real-time editing and integrated databases keep everyone aligned, while custom templates speed up workflows. Personally, I manage goals, habits, and life admin in one place, blending work-life balance effortlessly. Its flexibility adapts to any need, making it the ultimate all-in-one platform. If you crave organization without rigidity, Notion is a must-try! 🚀
What do you dislike about the product?
The constant need for internet connectivity frustrates me during travel or offline work sessions. Additionally, the free plan’s limited Notion AI queries feel restrictive, especially when brainstorming features or refining documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion tackles three core challenges:
1) Fragmented workflows: By replacing scattered tools (docs, spreadsheets, task managers) with a unified workspace, it eliminates app-switching chaos. Benefit: Faster execution, fewer errors, and mental clarity.
2) Team misalignment: Real-time collaboration, shared databases, and transparent project trackers keep everyone on the same page. Benefit: Smoother communication, fewer meetings, and faster decision-making.
3) Personal disorganization: Blending work and life tasks (goals, habits, notes) in one platform prevents overwhelm. Benefit: Better work-life balance and a holistic view of priorities.

It’s super easy to use, with a clean interface and tons of customization options. The number of features—databases, templates, and collaboration tools—makes it perfect for both personal and team use. Plus, setting it up is quick and hassle-free.

The only downside is that the free plan for private use has some limitations, but even with that, it’s still one of the best productivity tools out there.
