A very useful tool for overall management.

What do you like best about the product?
Perhaps the most appealing aspect is the wide variety of tools it offers. I started using Notion to write drafts for the books I was working on, but then I realized its versatility and started using it to manage my finances, keep notes/records of my university lectures, and maintain a personal record of what happens during my week, kind of like a journal.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like is how many of the useful features are behind a paywall. After using the Plus plan for several months, I discovered the benefits of the education plan, so I switched to that using my university email address. Along with that change, I decided to add Notion AI to complement the education plan. However, when I tried to use features like AI meeting notes, they were limited because I'm on the education plan, which would require me to pay $24 per month instead of being able to access it through the Notion AI add-on. It's a bit disappointing, since it's a feature that would be very useful for my work. I could name other features, such as limited number of charts or elements to use in your page, but the one that disappointed me the most, was in regards to meeting notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, more than solving problems, I think it just optimizes the process behind the tasks I work on every day. It made it easier to track where my money goes, how to budget, and overall have a simpler experience when working with my finances. Same goes for note taking. It was a mess having documents over several folders for my class notes in my computer, and now everything is under a dropdown menu in one of my Notion pages.

Consistently useful AI writing capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is my organization's source of truth for a broad range of information, including competitive intelligence, messaging guidelines, marketing and sales collateral, and approved customer quotes.

I love that Notion helps us centralize information, and I love even more that we're able to combine that source of truth with Notion's AI writing capabilities. That combination is incredibly powerful when it comes to summarizing research and drafting content that's actually grounded in our previous work.

For example, we direct our sales team to use the "ask Notion AI" feature to get fast answers drawn from our own competitive research database. That means we can focus on adding competitive data and insights vs taking the time to summarize our research into short talking points for each vendor.

Our marketing team frequently uses Notion to derive new content from the messaging guides and assets we've already created and reviewed, especially short supporting content such as emails and social posts to promote the original work. The "improve writing" and "make shorter" options are also great shortcuts to help accelerate writing work.

I'm also a big fan of Notion databases in general! I use them all day, every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
FWIW, my answer here is long because I love the product and use it so heavily! With that in mind, these are all things I think could be more powerful.

One downside of Notion AI is that search results have declined in quality a bit, as is the case with a lot of AI-powered search these days. I expect this to improve again over time as the team continues to make improvements.

Very long or detailed pages can also start to lag, especially shared pages with lots of tables. I've had issues working with long documents in general - for example, let's say I want to use call transcripts to draft a case study. The good news is that Notion AI can do a great job of cleaning up a transcript for readability or even generating an initial case study draft. The bad news is that if the transcript doc is too long, I may not be able to paste all of it into one Notion page, and even if I'm able to upload it, Notion AI may not be able to process the entire document. To work around this, I typically sanitize transcripts in Google docs first and paste each call transcript into an individual Notion page.

Notion databases are already pretty powerful, but there's so much potential for small improvements that would add real business value. For example, wowww would we be able to get value out of improvements in database visualizations. Even just the ability to display a data base field's title within the card view alongside the field's content would help us get closer to turning our competitive database entries into sales battlecards.

I also **desperately** wish Notion allowed formatting within databases and tables (my kingdom for bullets within tables!!!), which would unlock so much value. I think Notion AI is also limited when it comes to generating content within tables, which is a shame. Currently tables are a much cleaner way to display information than databases, but they're obviously also more limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Competitive intelligence and market research tracking
- Project management, planning, and outcome reporting

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is complex enough to create deep integrations and easy enough to get set up for simple use from our volunteers and new employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion isn't granular enough to limit certain editable rights for every level of employee and volunteer we have, which can be a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We replaced Salesforce with Notion. It now acts as the central source of truth for our entire organization. It is a CRM, knowledge base, data input (with forms), reporting, and several webpages.

Notion : An all-in-one productivity platform I use daily for work and personal organization.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has become a tool I use almost every day because it centralizes so many of my tasks and projects in one place. Its ease of implementation made it quick to set up, and I now rely on it for project management, content planning, documentation, team collaboration, personal goal tracking, and even habit monitoring. The ease of integration with apps like Slack, Google Calendar, and other productivity tools helps streamline workflows, reducing the need to switch between multiple platforms. I also like that Notion is highly customizable—from databases to content calendars—and its frequent updates show that the team listens to user needs. Customer support has also been responsive whenever I’ve reached out, which adds to the confidence in using it as my go-to productivity hub.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although I use Notion frequently, the learning curve can be steep for new users, and it may take time to fully unlock its potential. The mobile app experience is not as smooth as the desktop version, especially when handling large or complex databases. While integrations exist, I feel some could be more advanced and automated. Additionally, performance can slow slightly with heavy data use in team settings. Still, these are minor drawbacks compared to the value I get from using Notion on a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has helped us solve multiple productivity challenges by providing a single platform for project management, meeting notes, and knowledge sharing. Earlier, these tasks were scattered across different tools, making collaboration and tracking progress difficult. With Notion, our projects are now organized in structured databases, tasks are clearly assigned, and deadlines are easier to follow. Meeting notes can be instantly documented, shared with the team, and linked back to relevant projects, which reduces miscommunication. Having everything in one place has improved team alignment, reduced time spent searching for information, and increased overall efficiency.
