Versatile Tool with a Few Integration Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion's intuitive interface, making setup fairly easy and labeling it as multifunctional like a personal wiki. It excels in knowledge management and productivity. I find the database feature beneficial for creating entries and programming logics. It's also helpful for organizing information and has been valuable enough for me to upgrade my plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I find it difficult to set up some more complicated logic in the databases, like referring to other fields or setting up buttons. While these aren't essential features, having more comprehensive functionality would be beneficial.","I'm annoyed by the accidental page creation. There have been times when I accidentally clicked on something, dragging it somewhere else, resulting in the unintentional creation of a page. This is particularly frustrating, and I have to go through the process of undoing it."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a multifunctional personal wiki for knowledge management and productivity, helping me stay organized and plan efficiently. It supports creating databases with relational logics, making it easy to manage information and tasks.
Best for bullet notetaking and scraping articles online
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how simple it is to type and add bullet points. What stands out to me is the link copyboard feature, which lets you save articles from websites online. I’ve found this especially helpful for taking notes and highlighting the most important information.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the copyboard doesn't function properly on certain websites, which can be frustrating. Additionally, when exporting to PDF, there isn't an option to format the output as a document with adjustable margins and font size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has been useful for taking notes during meetings and creating summaries afterward. It helps me stay organized and keep track of important points discussed.
An ever-evolving product worth investing
What do you like best about the product?
What stands out to me is its power and versatility across all areas of our company. The AI keeps getting better, and the recent, frequent updates have truly convinced me to stick with this product. As more of my work, whether it's projects, meetings, wikis, or planning, gets managed within the software, it has become my primary AI tool. I recently created my first tracker that brings together our asset, development, and design teams into a single project, and the feedback from the team has been very positive. Please continue with the frequent updates and ongoing innovation!
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I found it quite overwhelming. The "blank canvas" approach left me feeling disoriented, and it took me nearly a year to become truly comfortable using it. I also depended on insights from other influencers and reviewers to grasp its full potential. Although I'm still learning, the rewards have definitely made the effort worthwhile so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing together note-taking, knowledge retrieval, and project timelines in a single platform has been a game-changer. I used to bounce between several tools and my team was forced to do the same.
Highly Flexible with a Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Notion for more than a year and a half to organize various aspects such as work and personal projects. I appreciate its ability to help me organize information efficiently in my busy life, especially how it provides reminders to keep me on task. The feature to organize tasks under projects and collect notes under tasks is very useful. The integration of AI into Notion is a significant advancement as it addresses repetitive task issues and enhances functionality without needing technical skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion has a learning curve, especially when trying to utilize higher functionalities like automations. It took me about a month to get accustomed to it. The app's reminder system is not powerful enough; it typically provides simple notifications that can easily be missed if not customized properly. I believe that Notion should allow for highly customizable reminder setups, including voice alerts, at specific intervals, to ensure tasks are completed on time. Additionally, when creating a page and a table with certain properties, there should be an easier method to transfer these properties to another page or database without having to start from scratch. This could significantly enhance productivity when working with large sets of properties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize my busy life, providing reminders and helping me accomplish tasks efficiently. Its AI capabilities aid those without technical skills, while the integration with other software enhances my productivity.
Notion Empowers Knowledge Management, Needs Outlook Sync
What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate Notion AI for its impressive ability to manage my personal knowledge base by taking my meeting notes across various platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. The integration with Zotero simplifies referencing and literature management, linking seamlessly to my knowledge base for easy future reference. Additionally, the use of intuitive templates greatly simplifies setting up pages and databases, even for someone transitioning from other note-taking platforms. Notion's overall functionality, managing both work-related tasks and personal items, ensures everything is well-organized and easy to track.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the initial setup difficult for new users, especially understanding the database and page linking. There is a lack of integration with Microsoft Outlook, which is crucial for me as my university uses it extensively, affecting my workflow with calendars and emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to manage my knowledge base, streamline administrative tasks, and efficiently handle teaching and research materials. It helps me organize resources and integrate meeting notes, making it easier to access information and improve productivity.
Versatile Tool but Challenging Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I find Notion incredibly versatile and valuable in keeping everything organized in a single, centralized location. The AI-powered meeting notes are a standout feature, allowing me to efficiently document meetings, even on Zoom calls, without any visible AI presence. The ability to create databases and separate workspaces is essential, especially since I manage multiple projects across different teams.
