Flexible, malleable, and looks great!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can be used in so many ways. There is no one way to use Notion. You can pretty much use it for any purpose or function. I am primarily using it for project management, particularly a content calendar. But I like that I can also use it for simple to-do lists and even informational pages that can be used for cross-functional teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be overwhelming at first because of the endless choices. Using templates helps. I'm still figuring out how best to use it and its breadth of options and functionalities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been needing a Content Calendar to track content and projects. Notion has provided a flexible and multi-functional platform to do this. So far, I have found a template that is easy to use but still allows me to customize it in many ways.

Notion - indispensable AI writing assistant

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion almost everyday.
The configurable databases and pages are very helpful for knowledge management. I use the wiki to make notes, file and tag away useful articles. Enterprise search is easy. The AI writing assistant takes notes but also helps jumpstart documents as required using my specific context.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks a native Todo or task list to sit alongside mail and calendar. Currently todo tracking can be accomplished via templates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge Management augmented with AI.
I can aggregate and synthesize meeting notes, articles from the web and my own observations to approach my work.

All-in-one tool to manage knowledge, projects, and workflows

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is one of the most versatile tools I’ve used. It combines note-taking, project management, knowledge base, and collaboration in a single platform. The flexibility to build custom dashboards, databases, and templates makes it easy to adapt to different workflows—whether for personal productivity or managing complex team projects. The clean interface and drag-and-drop functionality make it approachable, while integrations and API support extend its usefulness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility can also be overwhelming at first. Without a clear structure or template, it’s easy for workspaces to become cluttered. Search could be more powerful, and offline functionality still lags behind expectations. For very large teams or heavy database use, performance sometimes slows down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a centralized knowledge base for teams

Project and task management with customized boards and timelines

Personal goal tracking and journaling

Collaborative meeting notes and documentation

By consolidating multiple tools into one, Notion reduces app switching and helps teams stay aligned. It’s particularly strong for startups, creative teams, and organizations that value flexibility and customization.

Great product. Still has its flaws, but really enjoying

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me do a bunch of systems thinking that I couldnt do on my own. Add in its context awareness and its incredibly useful. Ive connected it to my Google Workspace (drive, gmail, etc) and moved my biz CRM to Notion Databases. It essentially automates a bunch of tasks (adding people by just referencing an email I sent to my CRM) while also doing a bunch of value add. I found it sent me some ideas to pitch a potential client after I had just asked it to see if I had any past clients in the relevant industry. Very very helpful and super easy to design and use. Getting everything set up took a bit, but the AI tool has made it so simple and my systems feel robust
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things just feel a bit unnatural. Why is everything a page? Why not make a few categories. For example, I made a Tasks database. I can link that to my project database and people database. But once ive completed a task, I really dont need it anymore. But when I go to add a new task to the list it starts pulling up all the my previous tasks "prep files for edit v1" etc, etc. I see why that is useful for a big database that you are always referencing, but for things are arent permanent or are just not the same type of data as, say, for example a list of contracts and projects, I dont really need a database. I think it would be good to designate WHAT TYPE of files a database is and have that database have certain characteristics and file types.

I also find the app experience a bit cluttered and hard to use. It just feels like a wrapper for the webpage, which isnt very easy to use on a small screen. I think it needs to be a more iOS native experience. Have a task list? It should feel the way reminders does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like a mentioned before, its collecting all my stuff in one place. Using AI to search it and keep everything in order for my business.

Powerful, Yet Initially Frustrating

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion integrates seamlessly with my existing tools like Google Business Suite, creating a unified workflow. The ability to transfer tasks and tickets from email directly into Notion provides a detailed overview of my week and helps me manage multiple client ticket systems efficiently. I also value the security levels offered by Notion, which is a significant selling point for me. The powerful lists, calendar views, and Kanban boards make managing my business tasks straightforward and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I found the initial setup of Notion frustrating. It was complicated to start with, especially when trying to understand how to use the available features effectively. The presence of numerous flashy templates was overwhelming, and I couldn't replicate them right away. It took time for me to realize I didn't need these flashy templates and to understand the core functionalities I required, like lists and calendar views.","I would like an easier way of automating data between the databases. As it stands, there's no straightforward method to automate data interactions across databases, such as creating new entries and ensuring these actions update corresponding records elsewhere. This limitation makes data management across multiple databases less efficient than I would like."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to integrate tasks and tickets from my email, providing a detailed weekly overview and managing deadlines efficiently. It organizes client information in one view, eliminating memory reliance and improving workflow integration with tools like Google.

It is creating a simple but dynamic space to plan projects, track tasks, and store information.

This is the first AI tool that actually feels intuitive and useful to our business

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At our company, we manage complex creative projects—scripts, budgets, timelines, client deliverables—all requiring seamless coordination across multiple teams and deadlines. Most AI tools either feel like novelties or require so much setup they create more friction than value.

Notion AI integrates directly into our existing workspace. No context switching. No learning curve that disrupts momentum. It helps us draft client communication, organize project knowledge, and streamline workflows without changing how we already work.

The knowledge management capabilities are particularly valuable. Instead of searching through dozens of pages or asking team members to recall past decisions, we can surface relevant information instantly. This saves hours weekly and keeps projects moving forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Took some time to really learn to connect and build the right tools, but no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes project knowledge and eliminates context switching. Instead of searching through emails, Slack threads, and scattered files, everything lives in one structured workspace. This saves hours weekly and prevents information loss when juggling multiple client projects simultaneously. The AI layer makes that knowledge instantly searchable and actionable—drafting communication, surfacing past decisions, and organizing workflows without manual overhead.

Versatile Tool with Excellent Collaboration, Minor Hurdles at Start

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the organizational capabilities that Notion provides, making it easy to track and recall information even mid-game session. Notion's collaboration features are fantastic, as others can contribute and fill in any gaps I might miss. The ability to link pages and use databases is incredibly useful, helping me relate and provide information efficiently. Sharing and publishing options are also great for broadening participation and transparency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the experience with Notion initially overwhelming, particularly because I didn't know how it worked or how anything was laid out. Blank canvases don't work well for me, which made it difficult at first. I needed to find Notion templates from others to help me get started. Additionally, I'm not satisfied with the price of the AI tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for excellent organization and tracking, especially in recalling game session details. It's a great collaborative tool where team members can add missed information. Notion's page linking and database features enhance my workflow significantly.
