Centralized Our Documentation Efforts

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion serves as a comprehensive source of truth for my company, making it ideal for organizing and accessing all documentation and human resources information in a centralized place. It's impressive how easily I can search for topics based on keywords to find organizational context, which is essential for maintaining smooth operations. The feature for creating pages, documentation, and links is incredibly useful, enhancing the clarity and organization of our documentation. I appreciate the flexibility and ease of use of Notion; once I got familiar with it, managing and navigating tasks became straightforward. I find it quite intuitive, and I would definitely consider purchasing it for my own company to document everything in one cohesive location. The platform is not difficult to understand, and its adaptability to different needs is a significant advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the initial setup of Notion to be a bit challenging. The templates available didn't exactly match what I needed, which required me to spend additional time familiarizing myself with all the features to create what I wanted. The process of getting started was not as smooth as I had hoped. Additionally, while Notion offers a wide range of features, some of them feel a bit frivolous. Features like the calendar seem unnecessary for me and detract from the core purpose. I believe that Notion should focus more on specific functionalities that can provide more specialized value rather than spreading itself too thin trying to cover a broad spectrum. However, I'm generally happy with its current performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a centralized database for my organization's documentation, simplifying information retrieval and ensuring clarity in documentation and writing.

User-Friendly Tool with Room for Feature Simplification

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion is a powerful tool that helps me a lot with creating documents and landing pages. It's been extremely beneficial for my work, allowing me to share things with people outside my organization in a neat and organized manner. Additionally, it facilitates better communication between my colleagues. I also value the variety of features it offers and how easy it is to use on a day-to-day basis, which makes it very helpful. The setup was straightforward, which is a great plus when starting with a new tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a little bit more guidance to help me understand all of the features that Notion has. Although the setup process was easy, I found some of the features more complex and not very user-friendly. Right now, I use Notion in a pretty simple way because I don't know how to take advantage of its more complex features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to create documents and landing pages, share with outsiders cleanly, and facilitate communication with colleagues, enhancing my work efficiency.

Databases can do more than I imagined!

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion databases are insanely powerful! I have created a system to manage various dimensions of project and program management. From the simplest "task management" use case, to a fully customized CRM, I am amazed at what can ne done with Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I have expanded my use cases, there are several areas that feel as if a simple feature request would optimize the experience IMMENSELY. Eg I often use a relation to group two databases, then bring a filtered view of a database into my hub page. When bringing content into the main content of a database entry, I would like to be able to select "this page" to filter, but can't.
Similarly, I use tabs to do the pre-flitering of 2 way relations. It would be amazing if I could add a little content to the page itself to help users get started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have created project and program artifacts, and databases that support timelines, meeting minutes, status reporting, as well as RAID log (risks, actions, issues, decisions). The list has only grown, and I am amazed at how this tool has allowed me to bring bespoke project efforts into a singular hub.

It's an ultimate tool: docs, plans, tasks
What do you dislike about the product?

Customizable Yet Challenging for Note-Taking

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customizable nature of Notion. Although I initially found it challenging to set up because of its stark difference from OneNote and its somewhat coder-geared interface, I believe this complexity allows for a high degree of customization. This aspect is valuable because it lets me tailor it according to my needs as a university student, primarily for keeping and organizing my study notes. The ability to make it customizable enhances its utility in managing my studies effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Notion to be fairly difficult. Transitioning from OneNote, it was challenging to adapt to the way of making notes in Notion, as it felt quite different from what I was used to. Additionally, I still grapple with understanding the overall structure of Notion because it feels like it's designed primarily for software engineers, which makes it seem somewhat complex for a non-coder. This complexity makes me feel like I don't know how to use it properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
