Versatile, User-Friendly Tool for Personal Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Notion's design and simplicity. The built-in database is fantastic because it powers so many things within the platform. This truly stands out to me. I'm able to run a CRM built into Notion without needing an additional software subscription or a dedicated CRM, and it connects to all my documents and knowledge hub, enriching the CRM. This makes for a great experience. Additionally, the initial setup was super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's small, but sometimes it's just really hard to drag certain line items above or below one another when you're editing a page. Specifically when trying to use, like, tables or database tables, and trying to move headings or pages on that specific document, or page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to manage my personal life, including CRM, diary, tracking to-dos, viewing goals on a calendar, and generating ideas safely.
Easy Information Editing, Needs Better Search
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for help and team information pages. I find it easy to edit information, and it updates information in real-time, which is really convenient. The initial setup of Notion was easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature is very vague and difficult to locate certain topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to locate help pages and team information. It's easy to edit information, and updates happen in real-time.
Seamless Collaboration and Appealing Design with Notion
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Notion for work and sharing projects with my freelance clients. It's convenient and easy to use. The ability to import and export markdown files is super handy for the AI world. I enjoy its accessibility, speed, and design. Embedding other pages is another feature I appreciate. Overall, Notion is more appealing than Google Docs and the initial setup was easy enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tables in Notion are hell to work with. It's hard to select rows and columns because the selector goes under another selector.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is convenient and easy to use. I can import and export Markdown files, which is super handy, especially for the AI world.
Highly Customizable Integrations That Work Across Apps
What do you like best about the product?
I like all of the integrations that work with multiple different apps. I really enjoy the customization as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
I primarily use airtable for Project Management and there are not many great integrations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
streamlining team communication and centralizing information.
Flexible and Collaborative, Yet Needs Structure
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the UX and UI of Notion, which, along with its peer usability, makes it so easy to add pages and link databases. It also makes knowledge capture more fun, turning what used to be mundane and dry activities into something enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is a power tool, but sometimes it could be too flexible. I think putting suggestions or guardrails or templates or making more that a little bit more upfront, would be helpful. It was okay. It could be easier. I think everybody has a different understanding of text hierarchy, page hierarchy, how one should design and layout the different sections and repositories, so that's more of an of the human condition and less so of the initial setup of Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion serves as a knowledge base that allows cross-team collaboration and helps me query and understand what other teams are working on.
Excellent for Tracking Complex Projects Across Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Project tracking complex tasks across teams and it has been extremely easy to use from an initial setup
What do you dislike about the product?
Wold like more free templates and more simple customization when creating new pages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating plans and being able to assign and track various tasks across teams and individuals
Robust Features, but Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I think that the meeting notes function is the most useful thing on Notion for me at the moment. Obviously, I also like the ability to use the AI features to fill that out, which allows me to create actions really quickly and email out the said actions to my team. It saves me a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Notion has a pretty steep learning curve. It's a challenge for me to figure out how to use it collectively for what I need. There should be more emphasis on tutorial videos or user-generated content to explain how you can use Notion. Even with templates available, it can be quite daunting to start from a blank page. The initial setup is not very easy. It's not incredibly difficult, but getting it to be more intuitive and designing the space to work for you is more difficult and could use more explanation tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion gives me a single space to plan activities, coordinate tasks, assign them, and quickly create actions to email my team, saving me time.
Streamlined Workflow, Impressive Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for project management, note-taking, and team collaboration. It helps me organize tasks, wikis, meeting notes, and content calendars. Notion solves the problem of having information scattered across multiple tools. It consolidates everything into one place, reducing context switching and saving time. What I like most is the flexibility. You can build almost anything with it using blocks, databases, and templates. The clean interface and the ability to nest pages are also great. Blocks let me structure pages exactly how I want, whether that's a simple to-do list or a complex project tracker. Databases help me track tasks and projects with custom fields like status, priority, and due dates. I also appreciate that the setup was relatively easy. We started with a template and customized it from there. There is a learning curve initially, but once you understand the blocks system, it becomes very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is the loading speed. Pages can be slow to load, especially larger workspaces. Also, the offline mode could be better. The pricing can also feel high for small teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of scattered information across multiple tools by consolidating everything into one place, saving time and reducing context switching.
Customizable and Flexible, Perfect for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion's flexibility and its ability to create whatever environment we need. It's really like a blank slate, and it can pretty much do everything or anything we've needed so far. There are a lot of tools that let us make custom workspaces or team spaces. You can create multiple databases, have them talk to each other, and create different views off those databases. It's really, really helpful to get different insights. The customizability allows us to get as close to perfect as we can get for our team, since no out-of-the-box solution fit us exactly. The ability to track many different things at different levels with different viewership for internal and external users is incredibly powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe additional layers of permission. It's not something we're relatively new users of Notion, so I don't wanna misspeak, but I think there could be more granular permission levels for both internal users within our organization as well as external users who workspaces or pages are shared with. So that's one thing. Another thing is potentially the certification or the training. Several team members gave the feedback that they didn't find it very intuitive, the self-guided certification or training courses we have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps manage project deadlines and accountability. Its flexibility lets us create tailored environments and connect multiple databases for insights, enhancing team collaboration.
Intuitive and Integrative with Minor Customization Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Notion helps me organize all of my information in a way that is easy to read and use for myself and my colleagues. The ease of use and availability of integrations are big pluses for me. The initial setup was very easy, and the sharing and development possibilities are very flexible. I also use it with Zapier, which works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not as many ways to customize my dashboard as I would have hoped. I would like to see more ability to change things like colors and fonts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me organize all my information for easy reading and use. I like its ease of use and the availability of integrations.
