What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion effectively addresses the challenge of scattered information by providing a centralized space where everything is neatly organized and easily accessible. The use of templates and checklists within Notion is something I find incredibly helpful for structuring and managing various tasks and projects efficiently. The database views are a standout feature for me, enabling me to visualize data in multiple formats according to my needs. Notion's AI summaries are an exceptional addition, as they help condense information quickly, making it easier for me to digest large volumes of data. I also appreciate the fact that Notion is fast and consistent, which enhances my overall experience and productivity. Moreover, the initial setup was straightforward, which made starting with Notion a seamless experience.

I feel that Notion could benefit from a more user-friendly verbiage. The tone and language used within the platform could be simplified to make it more intuitive for a broader range of users.

I use Notion primarily for organizing live production work and efficiently sharing notes with everyone involved in the project. This capability saves me a considerable amount of time by enabling easy distribution and clearly informing different departments of necessary tasks, such as costume changes or lighting adjustments, in real-time. I appreciate how Notion allows me to freewrite my notes and then effortlessly reorganize them into lists or tables, helping me to clearly see what tasks need to be prioritized and which can wait. This reorganization feature is pivotal in managing my workflow effectively and ensuring all aspects of the production are on track. Notion’s approach significantly streamlines communication and task management in live production settings, exemplifying its effectiveness and time-saving quality in my daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the PDF text transfer feature in Notion tends to summarize content rather than providing a word-for-word transfer, which is something I often need. Moreover, the formatting sometimes becomes disorganized, with sentences split into multiple lines. The initial setup of Notion wasn't entirely smooth either, as it took a few tries to get everything right.

How easy it is to use an open up and the AI feature for creating new documents and templates and keeping me organized

I wish there was a better page feature for documents inside Notion. I find it difficult to keep a lot of information on any certain Notion page. It would be cool if you could open up doc templates in the side of the Notion page for easier use in writing

Notion's different online templates are a boon, making my tasks so much easier and more efficient. These features really enrich my experience, adding versatility to the platform and helping me manage tasks, projects, and documents seamlessly in one integrated space.

I find Notion's offline use less effective as its capabilities are limited without internet access. For beginners, the platform can be overwhelming due to its complexity, sometimes causing new users to quit. Although the customization options are robust, they contribute to the complexity, making it harder for users to navigate. Additionally, large pages and heavy databases tend to load slowly, especially when offline, which affects productivity and user experience.

As databases grow larger, Notion tends to become sluggish, particularly when filtering or making updates. The offline support also leaves much to be desired, which can be frustrating if your internet connection is unreliable. Additionally, while Notion’s high level of customization is a strength, it can also mean that setting up everything correctly—especially for more complex QA workflows—often takes longer than anticipated.

Notion helps consolidate information that would otherwise be scattered across multiple tools. As a QA tester, I use it to organize test documentation, track issues, maintain knowledge bases, and collaborate with product and development teams. Its databases and custom views reduce manual effort and make it easier to maintain structured test cases and release notes. Having everything in one centralized workspace improves transparency, reduces miscommunication, and helps teams stay aligned throughout development cycles.

At times, the platform's robustness can feel overwhelming, especially if you're new to it, which may lead to some fatigue as you try to get accustomed to everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is making it easier for me to manage working across multiple workspaces by allowing me to bring everything together on a single platform. I also appreciate that I can embed a Google Doc, sheet, or similar files directly within it.
