The Best Project Management Software

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is our favourite project management tool that helps our team to manage projects easily. The major reason why we love Asana over similar tools is it is absolutely free to use for up to 15 members. We can create tasks and Asana offers list view, board view, calendar view, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana's Android App is not easy to use as it's web view. Also, Asana doesn't make a native desktop app for Windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you are a small team and you are looking for free project management tools with excellent features, you can use Asana. Protecting the data you trust is Asana's one of the important priority so you won't need to worry about your privacy.

Gets the work done, manages the team, but there's just something missing...

What do you like best about the product?
Asana excels in laying out projects, tasks, and shows the info that the teams needs right in front of their own dashboards. A very useful feature especially if you have a huge team to manage.

Asana basically micro-manages the whole team for you. You can set it up so that there's a hierarchy that passes tasks along to those who need to do it... and at the same time, these can easily be monitored by people who need to know when these certain tasks are done.

The best thing I can probably say is that Asana has (sort of) a messaging center within the platform although, it still needs a lot of work, the main focus of Asana is task/team management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The messaging platform within Asana isn't the best... and it's not real time so you need to refresh your browser (not sure if they updated this but if they did, kudos to Asana). Aside from that, Asana does what it does best and that's pretty much the important thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of task management is compiled and updated easier because of Asana. While there are a lot of other competing software that can match what Asana does, Asana can do it seamlessly in their system. Something great about Asana is that you can easily set who can see which tasks, who can update or comment on a project, and who can assign or complete various steps needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While there is a learning curve if you want to fully utilize everything Asana has to offer, it's still easy enough to hop into if you're looking to start out with a couple of projects. The best part about Asana is that you can get into it slowly until you master every aspect and option there is.

A really great option for medium to large teams with a handful of projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I was able to learn Asana really quickly and manage my work and time effectively. Asana has enabled to streamline my daily activities and help me save a lot of time. The solutions enable me to tag team members and review the project progress. Asana offers a free trial to users that enable them to review capabilities of it and review whether the application meets their needs. I can track all completed projects and share the progress with my manager. This helps us streamline our monthly schedules and plan better. Further, we can keep track on all the pending projects of the team and take timely action to reduce missed deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would Asana to offer additional integrations and APIs to help us connect with other applications. Pricing can be lowered for larger teams and they can provide training modules for easy onboarding on new joiners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has definitely helped in saving time and collaborate easily with my team members. Also, we are able to reduce the number of project management solutions to Asana only which is helping us save top dollars. Asana enables the team to keep track of their projects and share the progress with the managers. This helps managers to provide timely feedback and keep clients happy. We don't have to manually create Gantt charts to keep track of projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is one of the most popular and most trusted applications for collaboration.

Easy to use and free

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me keep track of everything I need to pay attention to in my business!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's free so I don't see any downsides. There are plans for larger teams where you pay, but most of it is completely free, and does everything you could want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many aspects of my business I could have forgotten about without Asana. Things like getting testimonials...little admin things which keep things ticking over.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's free, and super useful if you forget little tasks...you can't go wrong!

Asana is a strong project management tool

  • October 10, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the clean and easy-to-use user interface. The software is pretty intuitive and doesn't require much learning to start using it effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to customize and tailor Asana to do exactly what you would like. Often times, I've had to surrender to Asana's way of organizing information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly task multi-project task management. It is a great tool that also has strong mobile compatibility.

What do you like best about the product?
There is both the list and board view, many ways to link within and from without, lots of bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to be able to switch from list to board when needed; ability to link tasks, not just projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization. Collaboration.

Great Project Management Tool

  • October 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to create Projects and then tasks within the projects. It's also helpful when I'm creating "to-do" lists for myself. I'm able to visually see all the deadlines I have and plan my schedule accordingly. The system is super intuitive and easy to use with drag and drop tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the notifications can be a little overwhelming as you might get multiple emails about comments/tasks/projects. However, it's easy to change those settings and you're able to take people off the "watch-list" when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep all the tasks I need to do organized. I'm able to set deadlines for things and assign tasks to other team members. I'm able to layout tasks within projects and create timelines. That way I know whether I'm on track to finish a project on time.
