What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we had was before we got Asana implemented for the entire team. We had too many portals for information.

Teams on the same page, deadlines and workflow are easy to see and manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch as many tutorials as possible. They have great resources for everything.

Project Management

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an affordable project management tool that allows for collaboration on projects. I like that projects can be created from existing ones and then customized. I also like that projects can be limited to those working on that particular project. Building new projects from templates is my favorite thing about Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reminders can be cumbersome and easy to ignore. When new features are implemented, it can be difficult to find them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, we can ensure that we are all on the same page with our internal projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is only as good as the users. It is important to update your tasks and be honest about your deadlines and due dates.

What do you like best about the product?
You can move things from one place to another on the fly to make certain you are organized the most efficient ways (as things change)
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish you could move things from a browser to a desktop to archive them in folders once done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
efficiencies and productivity

Great for remote workers

What do you like best about the product?
I love the check-list capabilities for project management
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few things I was hoping I could move around into an order of my choice when it comes to prioritizing and the program only goes in certain orders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management with multiple offices. Helpful when coordinating remote workers.

Comprehensive project management, but take time before you jump in

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A huge array of features for managing the simple day to day tasks to complex projects with multiple dependencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The advanced search feature could be improved. Filtering down tasks to priorities, specific projects and sorting results is tricky. We still do a lot of analysis in excel (via csv export).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributing workload across the team is easier, but has required an investment of time to find workarounds within Asana. For example, we schedule work on a time basis so we've used custom fields to record how much time something takes and use this to check on team members workloads.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time in the evaluation period to set out how you will work with Asana and ask your team to check it too. Changing your setup down the road is time-consuming.

KISD Asana Review

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana also offers a discount for users who pay annually for their plans. Additionally, there is a small team discount for teams of under 15 users (who are on the Premium plan), and a non-profit discount for eligible organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is completely free for groups of up to 15 people and includes unlimited tasks, projects, and conversations. However, if you want premium support and features, or if your organization has more than 15 members, you have to upgrade to a paid plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since Asana is cloud-based, there are very few requirements you need to meet to use the software. Asana is, therefore, best suited for small to mid-size businesses or businesses that already use another resource for the financial aspect of project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana works for small and large businesses. You can use Asana if you have fewer than 15 employees or if you have hundreds of employees.

Great UI, easy enough to learn

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The customization is great, and it's not overwhelming like some enterprise level software. I appreciate the little things like fun loading messages, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Projects could be organized in a clearer fashion, would love more resources for implementation/onboarding, and email notifications are hard to turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability is very clear on the platform. You know what's assigned to who and when it's due.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps me focus on the small things even though I'm a big picture person

Easy to use and flexible

  • November 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That I can create my own format for organization - using the boards and column headings, also separating projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of storage of progress over time, tied to a calendar so you can look back at what was done. Also having items that are just to do rather than the actual project which has a deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping up with tasks. I need to see everything at once in a simple way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it out and make sure it fits your needs, but it is very useful.
