Great product. Support can be better integrated
What do you like best about the product?
Using Automox to patch a mixed-use Linux environment has significantly streamlined our IT operations. Automox's cloud-native platform allows us to automate patch management across various Linux distributions, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates. The intuitive interface and powerful automation capabilities enable us to schedule and deploy patches seamlessly, reducing the risk of vulnerabilities and improving overall system stability. Additionally, Automox provides real-time visibility into the patch status of all devices, allowing us to quickly identify and address any issues. This has not only enhanced our security posture but also freed up valuable time for our IT team to focus on more strategic initiatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty in accessing logs directly from the device page. This limitation can hinder efficient troubleshooting and monitoring, as it requires additional steps to locate and review logs. Streamlining this process by making logs more readily accessible would significantly enhance the user experience and improve overall operational efficiency. Despite this inconvenience, Automox remains a valuable tool in our IT arsenal, but addressing this issue would make it even more effective.

Very good remote system management utility
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability to run PowerShell scripts remotely to any system that has the agent. Patching 3rd party apps is a big plus as well that we like
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes scheduled jobs don't run properly and we occasionally just re-create a task under a different name to get it working again. Not a big deal but just odd
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Windows patch management including 3rd party patches is our primary use case. Running powershell scripts for one off jobs is another nice use as well that we like
Reduces IT Overhead

Using automox for security (from a developer's view)
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Automox is that the entire solution is cloud based. Being a software developer it eliminates the need to have the entire complex solution, which makes it very easy to scale and deploy across different distributed team. Another thing that I find very useful is its ability to automate patching through policy-based rules, so this allows patches to be deployed efficiently without any disruptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing that I dislike about Automox is it does not have built in automatic patch rollback feature for problematic updates. So if it installs any patch which does not well E2E, we have to manually uninstall it or make custom updates to rectify
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems it solves for me are numerous in number. For example, the legacy patching methouds required manual intervention which was very time costly and we had to track updates, test, and deploy. With automox patch deployment across all OS saves time and effort. It also provides patch compliance across all endpoint. It also reduces the riskk of cyber attacks throughout by ensuring all devices are up to date patched against all the known vulnerabilities.
Effective Patch Management, Automated
What do you like best about the product?
It saves me and my team SO much time. Previously, we relied on manual patching and had hundreds upon hundreds of vulnerabilities. The implementation was relatively easy and integrated quickly into our onboarding app installations with our MDM. Customer support has been extremely responsive. Patches for common apps are easy to schedule with minimal work required to get it set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The secure token for Apple Silicon devices remains a lingering issue that requires manual remediation in a lot of cases. The agent doesn't always connect as expected causing patch delays/vulnerabilities. There's a pretty steep learning curve given it's largely designed to "set and forget" due to the automated nature and not using it regularly means lack of knowledge from utilization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a fintech company, we have regular security audits by our partner and sponsor banks. High vulnerability counts from delayed or ineffective patch management causes major concerns and poor audit scores.
Very easy to use and setup. Very useful tool overall.
What do you like best about the product?
Dashboard is intuitive and easy to use. Information is displayed in a clear way and is easy to find, not overwhelming you when reviewing patch status. Policies easy and clear to configure and implement too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of driver update support. Would be helpful if we could manage driver updates from Automox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying and resolving pending patches in a clear and easy to use way.

The fact that there is no on-prem solution or deployment option available for the solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
