Jira : Project Tracking Tool in Agile

  • September 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jira makes it easy to keep track of bugs and tasks from start to finish. Everything is in one place, so I can see who is responsible and check progress quickly. The dashboards and filters help me see what is important and what is done. Workflows work well if set up carefully, and Jira connects with tools like Slack, Git, and testing platforms, which keeps the team working together. It has a lot of features like custom workflows and reports, which are useful for bigger projects. The support and guides help with common problems. I use Jira every day to follow tasks, check bugs, and stay on top of team work.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the downside, Jira can be confusing for new users because there are so many options. Setting up workflows and permissions takes time, especially for big projects. Support can be slow if something urgent comes up, and Jira can be slow when projects get large. Some features are complicated and can feel too much for small teams. Integrations sometimes need technical knowledge, which can be hard without experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps me track bugs and testing tasks from start to finish. I can see which issues are still open, who is assigned to fix them, and what has already been resolved. This keeps testing organized, prevents issues from being missed, and helps me work closely with developers. It also makes it easier to report results and track progress, so I can focus on testing rather than managing scattered information.

The best tasks management and tracking application I have ever used!

  • September 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Jira since 2019. It is the best tasks management and tracking application I have ever used. I have used Azure ADO tasks tracking tool for few months as part of my project requirement but trust me, It's not smooth and user friendly as compared to Jira. In Jira, It's so seamless to create tasks, add description (that too seamlessly with videos and images of any type), assign the tasks, etc. Also, Jira allows to change issue type or move the task/ticket to a different project easily.
The other best thing I like about Jira is the filters, reports and dashboards. The filters are so convenient that you can easily filter out the required tickets with a vast options of filters. It also supports JQL (Jira Query Language) which is super easy to understand and write.
And talking about reports, such as sprint reports, burn down reports, etc. they are so interactive and helpful to analyse the sprint status easily and make plans to improve that.
Talking about dashboards, I have been using it recently and trust me, I am really impressed with how cool it is. You can easily create filters to filter out your data based on your requirements and then add intuitive gadgets on the dashboards like pie charts, bar charts, or list and attach them with this filter and you are done! So easy! Right? We can easily share the dashboard link with business stakeholders or anyone and they can easily view and track the sprint data/status using live dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
As such, there is nothing I dislike about Jira. It's a perfect all rounder tool for a team or company looking for a tasks management and tracking tool.
But if we really want to talk about what I dislike, I would say the paid plug-ins 😂. I dislike because they are paid. Can we make all plugins free please? Hahaha.
Apart from this, their is nothing to dislike about Jira. It's perfect!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working in a software company as a QA since 2019 and Jira is a part of my day to day life. Every morning apart from weekends, the first thing I launch on my laptop is the Jira portal.
All of our team members get their tickets or tasks assigned on the Jira and they can easily view, update, or comment on tasks easily. Also, we can mention the users in the comments which sends an instant mail notification to them and they can easily take a look the comment. This process is so smooth and it really helps us reduce the follow up time.
Also, through Jira we can easily change the status of the tickets and this helps everyone to see the tickets updated ticket status in real time. The sprint gadget visible on a active sprint is really helpful when we want to analyse the amount of work completed and the amount of work that is still remaining.
We have been using dashboards and this really helps our POs and other stakeholders to view and track the sprint status in the form of pie charts or bar charts, etc. in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can manage our projects, also that it allows automation and integration with multiple tools such as CRMs tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Is not that intuitive and for the initial configuration of the automation you have to do a few tests first. Nothing too complicated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved from a bunch of spreadsheets to one single Jira project and now we even have a dedicated dashboard with no extra efforts

A Powerful but Sometimes Overwhelming Project Management Tool

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jira is excellent for managing complex projects and tracking tasks across multiple teams. Its flexibility allows you to customize workflows, dashboards, and reports to fit almost any process. The sheer number of integrations with other tools (like Confluence, Slack, and GitHub) makes it easy to keep everything connected in one place. I also like how granular the permissions and tracking can get, which is very useful for large teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be steep, especially for new users. The interface sometimes feels cluttered, and simple tasks can take multiple steps because of the platform’s complexity. While Jira is powerful, setting up custom workflows and fields can require significant time and expertise. Customer support is decent but not always quick for urgent issues. Performance can also lag when handling very large projects with thousands of issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us organize and track work across teams, ensuring everyone has visibility into project status and priorities. It centralizes tasks, bugs, and feature requests so nothing slips through the cracks. The reporting and dashboards give managers real-time insights into progress and bottlenecks, which improves planning and resource allocation. Agile boards (Scrum/Kanban) make sprint planning and daily stand-ups more efficient, ultimately helping our team deliver faster and with better alignment.
