JIRA
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to track and manage the progress of a project, assign tickets to developers and handle bug tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires a lot of customization to get the needed/wanted fields to display on project boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA to manage our Agile development projects. It helps to keep everyone on track and gives everyone a view on our velocity of work we can get done each sprint so we can better estimate future projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have someone on your team who understands how to customize project boards.
Effective Project Management tool for Agile Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to track requirements over agile sprints, excellent metrics indicating the turn around of requirements into code releases in as many agile sprints. Good for the software developer to keep track of the functional understanding of the requirements as well, I certainly used it for tracking my analysis, functional and technical design!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much really, save for the fact that you could still push requirements into the next sprint without sort of indicating that the requirement really has been around for a long time except for looking up on the date when the requirement was created.
There should be a chart that shows 'aging' open requirements within the JIRA repository.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Custom Business Intelligence design, development and deployment.
The benefits of JIRA usage is to be able to keep track of the timely completion of every phase of the software development life cycle.
Currently we are looking into creating the business flows for data and giving a view to the business for every milestone achieved within the process.
We are also using JIRA for recording the Quality Assurance of our current deliverable as being evaluated by the business. In short , JIRA is a great all rounder project management tool for agile projects.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your project is going the direction of being 'agile', JIRA will undoubtedly assist you to keep track of those fast moving sprints that are like mini releases of code functionality.
You can share the progress with Jira's amazing visualisations of where the project is heading in terms of completion.

LOVE love love Jira
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to document my backlog, assign and track the issues through to completion and the ability to collaborate. You can reference JIRA tickets in other project just by typing the ticket number. You can split out tickets into sub-tickets which makes it super easy for multiple people to work on the same issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to duplicate an issue with all the same watchers and comments so that when we split an issue, people have the history, and I don't have to add the watchers again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just keeping track of the things I need to care about. When I get a request via email, or I see something relevant to me in a completely separate ticket, I can easily add it to my backlog. Additionally, I can reference a senior manager who never goes into JIRA, and she can reply via email, so no extra effort is required on their part, but it become part of the ticket.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it - it is free in the cloud for up to 10 users. How can you go wrong?
Best Issue tracking platform
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is you effectly manage the lifecycle of an issue with real time update. The statistics of the Issues can be visualized through a very intelligent dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, very user friendly platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team performance, effective lifecycle time and resource utilization
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend
Easy real-time collaborative project/issue management.
What do you like best about the product?
It is east to maneuver around and get into the current project statys. Reporting issues and getting update is easy right under my fingers. Collaboration features in this app is cool and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very much textual and lacks beautiful UI. There are tons of text to read for each move. All menus and options are text-only. Though there are some charts and graphs to give a report, but they are well hidden in layers and needs couple of move and click to find them out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Varied analytics jobs. This app helps me to get in touch with both my users and those are supporting me in doing my part. My issues are my support team activities and my user's issues are my activities to undertak and Jira helps to do them with easy organization..
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IT stuff are so diverse that no single solution best for all of them. Though looking at peoples review is amazingly beneficial, you have to try it for your own organization and team to ensure it fits.
