Not a bad tool, but easy to overlook things
What do you like best about the product?
I like many of the workflow aspects of JIRA, including assigning tasks to particular people and attaching assets to the jobs, requiring actions to be completed, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that it's not intuitive at all, and -- especially during the ramp-up stage when you're trying to get oriented -- it's easy to miss things. This can happen even later, once you're familiar with the way the software works, because the notifications aren't the best
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on jobs that require specialized portions from a number of different people in the office. Knowing where jobs are in the process from assignment to completion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look around at other products first, or consider building your own tool if you have the means.
Jira for Agile Dvelopment
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact the Jira is perfect to manage Agile development. You can create stories and epics, break them out into stories, assign points, assign it to developers, manage sprints and kanban boards. Its easy to use for eveyone on the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The life cycle states can be a little difficult to configure and manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing our agile development using Jira and also using it for bug tracking.
Great project management software for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is one of the first companies that have pushed modern software development and IT project management models. It provides with multiple project templates we can chose from for our needs of the project. It's even possible to create custom project templates.
Last but not the least, JQL is what makes JIRA extraordinary. JQL or JIRA Query Language makes it super simple to get complex queries for filtering issues.
Their integrations/webhooks makes it easy to communicate with other tools for reporting events on JIRA. Like we have integrated with Slack so team is in sync with issues on JIRA.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like JIRA's UI performance since it's very slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business wanted the following features in a project management software and JIRA has met them all:
- Managing multiple projects
- Task assignment and activity history
- Task breakdown
- Sprints

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are small team and looking for a project management software irrespective of your domain industry, JIRA has everything your team needs to manage your work.
Sprint Tracking and Ticket Management
What do you like best about the product?
Organization. Jira allows us to create a pipeline of technical tickets to route to the appropriate channel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions. In order to get the tickets to the right people, permissions need to be granted to all parties involved. Having an easy way to create general pools for certain groups would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Channeling technology tickets and sprints to the proper parties while also keeping relevant parties in the loop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good program though I wish it was more customizable to fit the needs of different teams.
Project planning time tracking genius
What do you like best about the product?
It enables agile project planning and breaking work it chunks to share
What do you dislike about the product?
It's too easy to assign sub tasks to tickets which makes more challenging to track work associated with upper level ticket
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving coherent agile project management enables sharing of work between different job functions
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read help or watch tutorials because Jira has a lot of features
Jira
What do you like best about the product?
easy to use. quick dashboards. a lot of widgets to select from.
What do you dislike about the product?
searches and filters building. it is not so user friendly to create advance filters. poor time tracking options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
manage multiple project backlogs
Recommendations to others considering the product:
no other ticketing system is so easy to use. Try it and you will love it.
Jira as product owner
What do you like best about the product?
A good tool for having an overview of all tickets/user stories for an Agile project
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't set automatic notifications when an item is changed. For example, if I make a chane to a uer story, I can't specify who is notified. The person must be following the item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development of a mobile app.
Sometimes it's a matter of workflow not solution.
What do you like best about the product?
The expansive range of solutions this tool solves for all departments. The online solution is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The jargon. JQL is extremely confusing for customization, until learned. I think some things are inflated to sound more important than they really are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Operational efficiencies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use online solution, not server based.
JIRA in the team
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that it's clear to monitor task by task and allows tagging people who are relevant to the task. Also the notification can be very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is for engineer work specifically I feel. As UX designer, sometimes the work is not very clearly separately by spec / task, especially in the very first stage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The value is that the project management in the production stage becomes easier
Director
