Great for Keeping Organized, If You Can Stand Agile
What do you like best about the product?
It helps you keep track of your tasks over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot. But it's mostly the agile process that I hate. As a one-man marketing "team," it's frustrating feeling so stifled by restricted time.
The program itself has some issues, too. Little buggy things pop up from time to time. I also run into problems with editing titles or listing descriptions right after having clicked on/highlighting them. Little annoying things like that.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, it's pretty good for managing the agile system, but I personally hate the agile system. But if I have to focus on benefits, it's just a decent way for keeping on top of projects, but forcing projects into an allotted amount of time can really crush creativity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're using Agile, it's good for that. If you're looking for project management, it should help nicely with that as well.
not intuitive nor friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding comments to the issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
very rigid and defined, not very user friendly and no dynamic user dashboards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use ti for project management, no benefits over previous system
Recommendations to others considering the product:
not as easy or useful as TFS
JIRA is perfect bug management tool
What do you like best about the product?
All of the options can be customized in the tool and that helps in making a perfect sense to each project's bug management as they can be customized to their needs
What do you dislike about the product?
Havent disliked any feature but when we migrated to 7.2 version of JIRA, searching users (to assign it to) was difficult for some reason
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA is bug management tool and our company is using it across all projects. Its a one stop tool for looking at all the issues
Great Tool for Tracking and Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
It allows for greater ease in tracking and assigning tickets when necessary. Users receive e-mails automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a lot of time to set up and to familiarize yourself with the tool. This can be an issue if you have many short-time contract employees who may not have the time to become familiarized with the tool and your procedures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug tracking
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's best used by those with more technical backgrounds. For PMs without a technical background, assistance in understanding different portions of JIRA will be necessary.
Gets the job done!
What do you like best about the product?
There have been several improvements in the last releases that have made me enjoy JIRA a bit more. Plenty of room for details, great reporting capabilities, good permissioning capabilities.
Overall I've used JIRA for many years - more than 10, and I think that it's a great tool for all-sized companies. I've used it at start ups and large corporations and currently I use it for project management and issue tracking for a mid-sized company.
I can tell you that the latest release made attaching screenshots sooo much easier, thank you for that! If there was a way to integrate better to SFDC, I'd be a happy camper

What do you dislike about the product?
Search and filter options aren't always the best - but that may be something I need to talk to our admins about as I'm not 100% what the configuration options are.
Perhaps I could use the other features more, but it's a bit intimidating to non-technical employees. I am not sure what all it's capable of. I haven't had to submit anything to support, but have heard there is room for improvement there.

we use this to track all engineering tickets, access requests, customer issues, consulting requests, you name it. Jira is our jam!
We work in JIRA with a large number of groups, it's great to have one place to track and document current and previous requests and issues. It's super easy to search and create dashboards.

Once everything is set up, it's very easy for anyone to use.

Setup can be a little confusing, as the product itself is very open-ended.

Bug/Feature tracking for Development.
JIRA gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
I use JIRA because it has been a tried and tested product for many years now. It is by no means perfect but it has all the tools I need as a project manager to get the job done. In the last few years I have worked at several companies and I have been able to use my JIRA knowledge at each of them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility of JIRA can sometimes lead to issues within the team about how best to go about handling certain situations. I would prefer a simplified process as opposed to a flexible one that can lead to complexity and confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA helps to keep track of all development work that is currently ongoing as well as to plan and prioritize future work for the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend keeping your JIRA flow as simple as possible when you first start out. It's easy to make things complicated and that can lead to inefficiency down the road.
Jira difficulty
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you could assign owners and easily track work that had been completed
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Jira was very difficult for our team, especially figuring out how to configure a backlog and push epics into starting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing others to follow progress who don't sit in the same space as our team
JIRA is a Solid Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I use JIRA on a daily basis. It is easy to learn and simple to navigate. The interface is intuitive, and the ticket tracking ability is top-notch. I like the abundance of features that can be customized and leveraged for effective reporting and accountability. I have used other solutions in the past, and honestly, I like JIRA the best, mainly for its robustness and ease of use. This is a great way to keep our teams connected and on track as we manage thousands of projects each year.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting can sometimes be a bit difficult.
The search feature is a bit hard to learn and master.
Occasionally, I get logged out at odd times.

We manage thousands of internal and client projects each year. JIRA helps keep us all connected and on track.
Good, but still needs some work
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to track tasks from an Epic, and having a central place to go where I can get all of my tasks for a release. We've just upgraded our version and the newer features are good improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you need a reasonable knowledge of Agile to use Jira correctly. It took me some time to really get to grips with some of the Agile terminology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing a team of engineers to keep me updated with any documentation tasks required. Since we got organized with how they assign tasks to me it's helped me greatly in being able to scope and prioritize work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn Agile first... it helps a lot.
