6 month usage of JIRA
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track the work across many areas of the business in one single environment. The ability to create custom dashboards across the team to track progress. The link between confluence and bitbucket allowing you to track and keep the team updated on any work that is required and being done. This creates a ideal environment for increasing productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the complexity and sheer volume of options available - sometimes its not obvious how to do something very simple. Tracking time against a ticket is annoying aswell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a startup and currently using JIRA to develop a beta version of our platform. Using the bug tracker feature aswell as creating sprints have allowed us to increase productivity on the run in to launch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really explore all the features and its ability to link with bitbucket / confluence etc. There are so many things you can do.
Powerful tool to track bugs
What do you like best about the product?
Its highly customizable interface and reports make it a very powerful tool. Workflow can be tailored to each project for maximum efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve is a bit steep, and the admin side can be intimidating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA to track bugs in our software, from QA to developers. We also at times use it for tasks.
It has given us great visibility on the state of our product, and made sure no task ever went forgotten.

IMO Jira
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easily it organizes tasks in order of priority and keeps you engaged in the tasks. Comments, and note abilities also help keeping tasks up to date. Effective ticketing software for software and web development bug tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface could be better, smoother, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily organizing tasks and maintains engagement.
Excellent Product
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent integration between Atlassian apps as well as third party
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike in JIRA, its all good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between employess, build notes, smooth deployments
Great product for Dev but not so much for the PM
What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface and the flexibility. The product works great for tracking development tasks and QA. It doesn't take much experience with the product to get up and running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not crazy about the holistic analytic capabilities especially when it comes to resourcing projects and analysis around that.
My team has explored quite a few plug ins and none of them have really helped us manage project resources well.
My team has explored quite a few plug ins and none of them have really helped us manage project resources well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved efficiency using Jira and other Atlassian products. We have definitely improved internal custom development.
Jira helps us to provide additional transparency to other teams and helps us to share learnings across the organization.

Jira user
What do you like best about the product?
Good task tracking and planning tool for Agile projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not completely user friendly as an Administrator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effective task management
using jira for all the tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible it is to update comments by multiple users, to search for tasks using queries and filters, time stamp, grouping of tasks that makes it easier to assign and the easy way to log the progress of task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much honestly. I like how flexible it is but maybe it could be improved in terms of UI on mobile phones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Productivity is good using jira as the BSAs and developers are all on the same platform and same lines in terms of communications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good software for project management and issue tracking. Go for it.
Scrum Management
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA I think is the industry leader in scrum management. I can't imagine any other product that comes close.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there are small things like editing functionality I would like to see, I think they're headed in the right direction overall. It's already a very easily usable product and they continue to improve it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management and scrum process. It's invaluable. No other solution on the market can handle our workload management, effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a medium to large sized company. You should be using this to management your projects. If you're a smaller company, consider using a company that Atlassian just bought, Trello.
JIRA Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how emails can tell you when things are in progress or completed along with having attachments that you can click through easily once they are implemented. Adding in comments via email is also convenient. Other apps such as Redmine and Basecamp need to log in to the UI on a browser separately in order to read messages, download attachments, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX isn't very efficient when logging in on the browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a team's projects all in one place to send to Ad Ops and to maintain project management.
Gets the job done... most of the time
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a very easy to use system that makes it easier to collaborate with other individuals. Its easy to reference other tickets and navigate between projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup is sometimes a chore to get right and if you get it wrong, Jira becomes unusable or un-useful.
This becomes more difficult as you try to add on third party services to extend the power of Jira.
e.g. to integrate Zendesk into Jira so that it notifies that system when a bug has been completed, you'll need to go through the workflow(s) and add in that service to every section...there's no one client and done solution here

Once connected to other business tools (in a proper fashion) you have enhancements efficiencies from communication flowing when it should.
