What do you like best about the product?
Our entire organization is finally using one intake system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't feel using JIRA is intuitive for the user. Also, hard extract data/compile reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ease of use. It makes working with international teams with different time zones and languages possible. It's versatile

I was more familiar with Bugzilla. It has taken time to get used to

What do you like best about the product?
It's very user friendly and can be used by anyone in IT, also it gives entire picture about the defect lifecycle and agile testing scum
What do you dislike about the product?
Look and feel can be improvized and also there should be a mechanism to use automation and capture test results easily.

Solving: defect life cycle conoleteness

I like being able to create, assign, and track progress of the work that is being done.

Historical access to tasks already completed are a bit challenging from a UI perspective.

I love the ease of use, quick setup and wide array of product offerings provided in the JIRA platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that JIRA is not easy to customize nor is it easy to change workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and ticketing system for customer requests.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using Agile methodology this is the best tool out there. It is easy to use, once setup, and if you use their cloud offering, easy to maintain from a patching and operational standpoint. However, if you want custom workflows, issue types, or custom permissions, good luck. It took me 3 months to create a viable system for my team, then an additional 1-2 months of further refinements over several sprints.

What do you like best about the product?
It is great for keeping track of tickets for a help desk, You can easily re-assign to any member of the team. Add attachments is a Breeze literally click and drag and its uploaded, even has time stamps to show when you add the attachment.
What do you dislike about the product?
wish the time stamps where actual date/time instead of days/minutes/hours since it was done
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
working with outside vendor on solving an issue via help desk ability to communicate back and forth and easily share files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great Helpdesk tool for keeping track of issues and great when working with outside vendirs

A great workflow management product but reporting features are poor

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA has many different settings and options to fit almost every workplace. In addition, it has great oversight features to ensure the whole team is working in a uniform way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting leaves a lot to be desired. While JIRA allows you to be flexible in your team's setup and workflow, the reporting only works if you use JIRA's default settings. And if you ask a question on Atlassian's JIRA bug board, oftentimes the response from the dev team is "Closed -- will not fix."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main way we used JIRA was to get all our development teams following the same protocol and the same standards during a scrum. Before JIRA, we were all over the place and it definitely helped organize the team and add a uniformity between teams. But the reporting is very rigid and inflexible if you don't implement JIRA in the "by the book" method.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a great tool and a true market leader. I highly recommend for people without any workflow management tool. However, I would say you need to purchase an additional plug-in to handle reporting.

Lots of extra fields that don't seem to get used very much. Sometimes searching is difficult.

What do you like best about the product?
The admin and configuration options as well as the overall UI is plain and no non sense simple
What do you dislike about the product?
Bugs filtering takes a bit of time to get used to, may be its because the overall UI is so simple so this area for a new user needs more attention
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A quick run down of project status. For fixed cost projects this is a must have as you need predictability.
