  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
workflow methodology that can be achieved from start of finding an issue to analysis, implementation, verification and closure
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things that bothers me is if the JIRA is not addressed to me, I can't read the description of it in the email unless I click and open the JIRA
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product definition. new architecture implementation

Using jira for issue tracking features, blogs and documentation repository

  • March 07, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the simplicity and agility of use are factors that encourage the dissemination in cummunity, creating value for the entire network
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not detect negative items in the use of the tool. However, in a complex organization is necessary a system administrator team, that governs the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of the tool has resolved many problems related to communication between delocalized teams and enabled us to empower resources to the end-to-end activities. This has brought an efficiency recovery and an improvement of time to market
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira has many features and I recommend to decline a solid service model to the users, for maximizing and enhancing the benefits, without increasing the daily activities of end users

Helps Managing my work in sprints

  • March 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Track all work items (requirements, tasks, bugs with Burndown chart) using Epics and Sprint planning.
Log the burn hours for each task and subtask.
Custom dashboard for individual users / leads to manage their teams work.
Boards for managing the ToDo, InProgress and Done list. Helps high level overview of all the tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I liked all the features.
A suggestion is that the pricing can be adjusted if the users are more than 200. My company currently using a <500 users pricing. Since we are growing to more than 500 users we are forced to restrict the user usages. Again this is a management issue (budgeting)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing all the requirements and work log items in single place. Helps me and my developers to estimate and log burning hours.
Project Management & Users worklog
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you want to easily create and manage a task, choose JIRA.
We managed to see the burndown charts with estimations and progress of the tasks and take predictive risk management.
Helped Dev team and QA team to easily trace the status of the issues and thus making the project management easy for delivery managers.
Integration with GIT / SVN would help to address the task / bug with better progress and thus help new devs to track the changes more easily.
More options on the pluggins and Mobile apps (similar to sharepoint webparts I sould be able to create my own plugin and use it)

JIRA is life!

  • March 01, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA makes it easy to create a ticket, and track work being done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The JQL database is a pain. Other than that, JIRA is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA is flexible enough for all teams within our company to use it to track work. Engineering uses it for bug fixes and feature implementation, DevOps uses it for infrastructure maintenance and development, Front End/Design/UI can all use it to track their work, and even the BizDev folks can use it in conjunction with Salesforce to track customer engagements. I use it to track IT tickets, with tickets coming in from everybody in the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Atlassian has created a platform that fits many needs, and JIRA is one of their products that fits a need. It's likely that there are other Atlassian products that can integrate with JIRA that fits other needs that you have.

Great for marketing project management

  • February 28, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I helped my company's marketing team migrate from Trello to JIRA a few months before Atlassian purchased Trello! We also use Confluence and HipChat (although we recently switched from HipChat to Slack). We've had great success using JIRA for project management so far! My team loves the swimlanes feature, which allows you to display tasks in groups by sub-team or individual assignees. We use the Slack integration to notify our team channel when someone comments on or moves a task into a new stage. We work in two-week sprints with a simple workflow of To Do, In Progress, Under Review, and Done, and added a custom "Reviewers" field so people can be notified when the status of an issue changes. It works really well for us, and overall, my team is very happy with the switch!
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA is less user-friendly and "pretty" than Trello, but it definitely wins over Trello in the functionality category. We use the Confluence integration a lot for JIRA charts and additional issue status tracking, and there are little things that annoy me-- like not being able to drag and drop fields in the "Columns to display" section for example. Once you get over that, though, it's a great and powerful tool! Also, not sure if there's a way to automate ending and beginning sprints, but that would be nice!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Agile project management for marketing tasks - JIRA gives great visibility and organization to projects on our team. We also used Zapier to integrate our JIRA board with a Formstack form that the rest of the company uses for marketing requests.

Great Project management and bug logging system

  • February 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use JIRA as a project management tool along side a system to log bugs in our software, we use JIRA along side our normal service desk software for bugs, as tickets in JIRA are much easier to trace etc.
JIRA is really easy to use and allows people to communicate via the system, instead of having emails running separately.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA has taken a while for some of our users to get used to, there are a lot of features which in the short term decreased the productivity of the teams involved, but shortly this issue was eradicated when people fully understood the system and not it has increased productivity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA has made communication, relating to a specific bug for example, much easier to manage than if we were communicating via email, all comments can be seen by anyone looking at the ticket
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn JIRA!!! used to its full potential, JIRA can seriously aid your company!
