JIRA makes project management a breeze

  • May 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like JIRA because it makes all of our projects very visible despite having so many external teams from all over the globe assisting us with the software we are developing. It is so customizable absolutely any team can benefit from use. Everyone on our team is much more productive after we introduced the use of JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about JIRA is the fact you can't put recurring tasks in without running a plugin. Part of my position within my company is admin work, and a lot of it is recurring- daily, weekly, or monthly- and I'd rather not have to put the same issue in multiple times. I know it is not "meant" for recurring tasks, but on the flip side, it would give my coworkers more visibility into what I do every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA makes it a lot easier for an employee to realize problems that will affect their work and get the help they need to fix that problem.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software defect tracking

Essential for issue tracking

  • May 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA makes it easy to collaborate between developers and customer support reps on customer issues. You can attach screencasts or screenshots to issues and link to code. You can target users with at-mentions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can be a bit clunky at times. It could use a refresh. The comment history can get long and unruly at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Issue tracking across the organization. We have a single place to keep track of the history of issues, add comments and attachments, and assign them to responsible individuals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely check it out to see if it meets your needs.

Indispensable tool for tracking work, development, issues, bugs

  • May 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
"If it's not in a ticket, it doesn't exist." Tracking work, or issues, in JIRA means there is a single place that is authoritative to see the status of that item. Nobody needs to ask, "have you done it yet?" The status of the ticket is the status of the thing - giving a full history of assignment and comments. JIRA's flexibility allows us to customise workflows, and git integration shows a view into the development.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA is so powerful that it is hard to adopt without custom workflows. It takes persistence to get non technical staff on board and working well with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA for project management, product management, software development, QA testing and IT operations. It provides an accurate up-to-date view of any specific piece of work or issue.

Nothing at all. It give us all we need. But need to improve performance when we are moving tickets from one stage to another stage. Its taking time to move.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can track all projects' bugs by QA projects so that we can give more quality to organisation.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Jira's Agile board. I've used it in multiple settings in my career, and utilizing the agile features has been a huge help to me in my personal productivity and that of my team. Jira's assignee feature helps keep everyone working on a project accountable, and we can store all files, comments, and questions about a project on a single task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira does have some limitations, but most of which have not affected my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, organization, setting expectations.
