What do you like best about the product?
I liked that all of our work, development and project management was all contained in one place. It was very organized and we were able to see the different steps we had to take in order for things to move forward. We could start different sprints for different tasks that needed to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little hard to get used to at first. The older version wasn't as user friendly as it is now. But they made drastic improvements to the software as the years went on. Unfortunately we stopped using JIRA to move to SmartQ.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a Project management team and a software development team that all work on tasks together, or that correlate with each other. We needed a streamlined software to add a place for cards and tasks that everyone could see at any point in time and where they stood.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is great if you are a bigger company! It was well designed and organized.

JIRA - not just for product management!

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is very versatile, flexible and adaptable ticketing system. The workflows options/capability is great. Additionally, the ecosystem is very large and active. Bunch of plugin-in´s to compensate for what JIRA might lack natively.
What do you dislike about the product?
When projects are many and heterogeneous, the global nature of custom fields can become tricky. One has to ensure proper isolation (for example using contexts and pinning down custom fields per issue type) in order to maintain "china walls."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to it´s rich properties, JIRA is not only used for software development but we also use it for any kind of "requests," such as travel requests, IT asset management (for example requesting a new laptop), requesting refreshments from the kitchen for meetings, etc. Where ever it is feasible, we tend to use JIRA.

Jira can be customized in a great way. The workflows and screens are very powerfull.

The speed of the cloud version is sometimes a bit slow

What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to the suite of bitbucket and confluence, there is a unique tool that combines the management of digital projects with other working figures as developer and analysts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not too much intuitive and usable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing various tools in a single solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not give up if it may seem difficult at first, rather look at some tutorials, just getting some confidence and all will be more clear and easy.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can easily update the assignee and status of a story, and the whole team is aware of what point everyone is at.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't come up with any ideas of things that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are designing, developing, and testing a Web based EHR. We are able to keep track of road maps, designs, specifications, testing, and developing using JIRA.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a web-based platform that overall is pretty easy to use. I have found the search functionality--advanced and simple--to be intuitive especially if you have experience with database software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure it's JIRA's fault or my company's fault, but we have a tendency to overuse a variety of options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, the search functionality. I am not sure I've solved anything by using JIRA. I think organization's need to be confident of their project management technologies options before they can solve anything.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your institution knows what kind of PM it wants to use in advance of exploring any PM software!

What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to keep track of all the various bugs, tasks, user stories, etc, including who is working on them and what stage in the workflow they are in. Search is powerful so i can find what I'm looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
there's nothing specific that i can think of that i dislike, but i do notice that i've never used any of the Dashboards. Maybe they could do something to make dashboards easier to discover and use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of bugs, tasks, user stories.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
i can't imagine NOT having JIRA to track work on our scrum team.

What do you like best about the product?
The customisation, the way than is developed and the posibility than brings you to intereact with the flows and the internal procedures of the company. We have done customised it totally to our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price, is two expensive if you have a lot of users but you are not a big company is difficult to fit on budget. There are also free plans for non-profit or educational companys but when you are a medium company is difficult to use it due his price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They communication problems and project management, we need a tool to interact with the other teams and follow the projects and tasks in a better way than the email, Jira gives us this possibility.
