Great tool for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's robust but also fairly easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with bitbucket could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track issues and solutions. We are able to assign tasks to team members.
Good Product to work with as PM Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of Software to use as SCRUM or Kanban board, setup workflow, easy to use GUI and some amazing features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed of website / Software, not so easy manual and support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used as Project Management tool for Internal and external clients and it is easy to use system for Developers and clients.
Great for agile software projects
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to interact with my development team, and easy enough for them to keep up-to-date with status of their stories!
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't work well with projects that span teams outside of development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA to track stories related to implementation and maintenance of a number of software solutions used in running the business.

It is a great tool for Issue Management and to an extent Requirements Management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are challenges and shortcomings related to Project and Portfolio Management especially regarding Capacity Planning and What If Scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A one stop tool environment for Portfolio/Project Management, Resource Management, Requirements Management, and Issues Management including traceability.

It has its challenges as an all encompassing tool
A good product but there are challenges

At its core, it does everything we need.

It can be painfully slow and they have released updates that broke functionality.

Project management, issue tracking, timesheets (with add-on)

Be sure to do a trial.
A complete project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of features from which you can choose from, the possibility to add addons to complete your needs, the search engine, the tracking from backlog to production, the easiness of integrating it with other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning time can be larger if you use addons, also the migrations from older systems can be a hard to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing a big project containing multiple components. With Jira it is easy to visualize by the stages of the development
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The migration can be hard but Jira have enough tools to do it. It is very good at working with issue using their JQL (Jira Query Language) when you want to do complex queries

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, improves efficiency, provides ability to have quick overview of current status of all open projects, easy to add tickets to backlog to be worked on at a later time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations especially with the workflow, but I believe these are implemented by our administrator and it is not a true limitation of the app.

We are able to complete projects more quickly saving us time and money.
Cluttered, unintuitive interface hides functional system
What do you like best about the product?
Has everything to support Agile project.

The interface is clumsy, at best. Nothing is intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a system that would capture the stories, issues, etc related to our Agile-based projects. This was the company standard so we adopted it. We are able to capture the key information for our projects and the sprints are accomplished using JIRA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My concern with the interface is that because it is not enjoyable to use we probably do not log as many details as we would with a better structured tool. This would be useful for progress tracking, and reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexiblity: it can be adjusted to any workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes buggy and sometimes getting lags in the most inappropriate moment. Sometimes the number of features is too much for some projects. Many features are not required for the big percentage of teams. But likely it can be adjusted not to distract attention for unneeded things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better project management workflow = faster decisions, faster development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be too much for the most of the project and specially for small teams. In that case they can consider something more simple.
Nothing better for agile
What do you like best about the product?
It completely supports the agile process, and perfectly fits within that methodology.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of ways to do the same thing, which can get confusing. Also, it seems like new templates (screens, workflows, etc) get created each time a project is created. Would like to have few to many relationship with templates and projects (not 1:1)
