Decent agile team management software
What do you like best about the product?
Once you understand your local work environment, its not to hard to go about using, but there is a slight ramp up period for people to get used to it. Its a nice visual way to manage different types of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their style changes are often unannounced and really hamper the workflow people have established over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
multi-team project management
bug tracking
Jira has the ability to be changed fairly quickly to suit team needs. The issue is that teams get stuck in their ways and try to make their process fit the tool instead of the tool fitting a better process.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make the tool fit your processes, not the other way around.
Streamlining the workflow between departments
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA's UI is great. It's super easy for a newbie to read, and it also makes tasks and other to-do lists easy to read. It's incredibly customizable which is a huge perk of using the platform. It's also got a nice UX that's really easy to pick up on, plus it's easy to train other team members who have never used the platform. It's also super convenient for checking in on the status of projects, which has helped our entire company be more productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is very customizable, there's one element that I don't like. Because I'm just a user and not an administrator, I have to contact my admin to implement changes I want. This is mostly just an issue when building out various boards and to-do lists, but can still be a bit tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has primarily helped our team organize our tech requests. Often our team is so busy that our requests don't get addressed for weeks or even months--during which time we stop tracking on them until weeks later when the problem strikes again. Now we can keep all of our requests in one spot. We've also used this to streamline communication between our content department and our ad operations department. Previously, we didn't really have a method to the madness and JIRA has helped a lot with that.
JIRA = Lifesavers for online media
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for everyone and contains to-the-point fill-in forums. I like that everything that has been updated on a ticket (i.e. comments, description text, etc.) is shown on the ticket itself, and everyone is accounted for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easy way to access all tickets that I have submitted on the website, rather than fumbling through tabs or going through other tickets currently in progress to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently work for a digital media publication, therefore, JIRA is always being used at our company. It helps keep track of progress and gets projects flowing via easy management.
JIRA allows me to keep track of projects with the engineering team
What do you like best about the product?
I can create a JIRA for the product and engineering team to look at - for new reports, enhancements to existing solutions, providing new user access etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its very confusing for a non-engineering background person like me to update the JIRA upon completion of tasks, especially with effective testing results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to have a single place to record all finance requirements - products, reports, tools and solutions. The engineering team then builds the requested items.
JIRA is great for engineering. Still trying to get designers to embrace.
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is a common platform that developers and project managers seem to understand and use well to keep work flowing through the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA seems to have been built with developers in mind. It doesn't really facilitate the way designers think and work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA gives developers one place to go to find, select, and communicate about individual tasks.
Keeping things tidy!
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how streamlined JIRA makes submitting and receiving requests. I am on both the issuing and receiving end of tickets through JIRA every day. And keeping everything orderly is key. Plus, being able to loop in other contributors makes the collaboration all the richer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a little clunky to search for tickets or items within JIRA. This may simply be because we have so many similarly named tickets? I'm really clutching at straws here though - JIRA has done more good than anything else for my daily work experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I manage travel for any and all members of our company, I like the form that we have created through JIRA to get all the info necessary to book travel quickly and easily. This maximizes my time and keeps me from having to go back to each individual for more info.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy tool for collaboration, project management, and tracking bugs.
Seems complex at first, but simple once you get the hang of it
What do you like best about the product?
I'm big on managing projects and staying on top of things. JIRA makes doing so simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be a little confusing/overwhelming when you first start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying current with my to-do list! Keeping colleagues informed of my progress on projects and vice versa.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a chance to learn how to use it—you'll catch on fast!

Mostly Useful
What do you like best about the product?
We successfully use JIRA to manage our projects and track bugs. The flexibility to create new boards on the fly to track certain aspects of a project/epic/sprint is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading times can get heavy. Inconsistency with keyboard shortcuts—I can't always press command + enter to submit a text field, would really like that to be the case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management + bug tracking—not even sure what else we would use.
Best for tracking tickets

The filters are best and can be used for tickets tracking , the graphical representation of the complete project is the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it goes very slow without notice .
