Jira for Web Updates
What do you like best about the product?
Our business utilizes Jira to organize web update requests, and it makes the ticket service work seamlessly. I really like how it makes communication easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the high volume of emails associated with completing a ticket. I get a confirmation when the ticket is received, I get another when there are details that need clarifying, and another to approve changes. I wish this could be more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits we see are with ease of communication and organization of our web update system. Our web team can easily calculate project timing and can prioritize our update requests. It also helps to mitigate confusion and hold teams accountable for timely replies and implementation of requests.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is very user friendly, and even those without tech knowledge or experience can use it easily. It is a basic solution to complex problems.
Jira Review
What do you like best about the product?
When using Jira, I like how each task interface was easy to configure, and you can track a more complicated task by going through the history of the ticket to observe what has been changed by who.
I also like how you can access Confluence from Jira and refer to the particular jira ticket when needed in your documentation.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't feel like the Jira admin was adequate enough to make changes according to user needs. We could be missing so much using this product due to knowledge limitation.
Jira should also look into ways to archive closed tasks/projects. If you are the assignee of a project, even after a project is closed, you will still see task in your system dashboard under "Tasks assigned to me." Again I am not sure if there is already a functionality in place to remove a closed task (due to admin knowledge limitations), but if we can remove closed tasks from dashboard that would be great.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira to track bugs and easy to accomplish tasks, which is very easy to track on the progress. It is straightforward to visualize actions by uploading documents and illustrations to the ticket and be able to reference it anywhere in the ticket
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is worth spending more time making ticket categories and necessary components each category should contain.

Managing our projects across a multidisciplinary team
Recommendations to others considering the product:

JIra is the most helpful tool for keeping myself and the product team at my company organized
What do you like best about the product?
I use Jira on a daily basis -- and I have to admit that before I began using it (even though I was previously at an Agile company), I was wary. However, Atlassian's updated design suite and careful planning around all the ins and outs of Jira make it one of the easiest to use tools on the software dev market. I am able to track my tasks, assign people to get opinions and help, and get a quick snapshot of what I need to do on a weekly basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an innately complicated tool so Jira does take a bit of onboarding to help familiarize new users. However, once you get started, it is really easy to use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My product team uses Jira to solve a number of problems -- namely keeping everyone on the same page about what is in priority, what things are being saved for later, and who is working to complete what task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
So much better than other software dev tools on the market!
Quality project management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to quantify and organize requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The agile bored can be slow at times so it takes patience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Requirements management
A powerful tool for project/task management
What do you like best about the product?
It's very customizable and useful for tracking project tickets and getting client feedback on those specific tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really nothing that I dislike about Jira
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Jira, we can very effectively move through projects through a variety of departments and clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is a great tool for issue tracking.
Great functionality, hard to onboard
What do you like best about the product?
Jira allows you to manage workflows and collaborate on a very deep level. It's rich with features, which makes it adaptable for a variety of businesses and applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very intuitive. New users, as well as individual contributors who don't need to dive deep into its functionality, will probably find it frustrating. This makes it tempting to have individual contributors (such as freelancers) work outside the system, which ends up causing its own complications. It would be nice if there was a simpler interface designed for non-devs or people who are working on only a couple specific projects or boards. That way, the whole team could use the system more efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication among remote team members, simplified workflow, better communication around priorities, deadlines, and who owns tasks .
