Not user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
This appears to be a very powerful tool. I find the ability to contact others within the organization helpful. I also like that you can "watch" an issue, or stop watching one.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is very clunky, not at all intuitive. You would expect a program like this (designed for IT departments) to be somewhat intuitive, but it really is not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am successfully able to communicate with one person in one other department regarding shared issues. The rest of it is not useful to my department specifically.
Love Jira's simple, straight forward capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is simple, has views that easily support quick consumption of data. I think they have done a good job thinking of the little things, like sum totals of story points when looking at a backlog or sprint backlog view. Sounds dumb but it's those little things that are really important when trying to get the info you need right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
The administration of the screens is pretty difficult to manage. It's learning how the pages all fit together that is hard. There are a lot of artifacts and knowing their relationship is tough. The help pages are ok and I love the feature that helps you discover why you don't see a field on a particular screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking the work that we do in our engineering dept. the benefits have been having all of our work tracked in one central location. This is critical to knowing everything that is going on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want an easy to use working tracking system this is worth considering. It has a lot of capabilities and flexibility that can be used in all types of organizations.
I have been using JIRA for tracking and solving issues as well as project management.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of JIRA I liked was the funnel history and analytics. It gives the reports of the current sprint which is very useful and it helps to increase the productivity of team.
The team progress can be easily seen looking into a board which is a great thing. I love the concept is has provided like sprint, kanban and so on.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI is little bit older type. Also if it was a cloud based web tool, it would be great. However, JIRA is now constantly focussing on the user experience which is very good thing.
Also I feel like the JIRA software itself is heavy weighted. I would suggest JIRA team to make it a bit lightweight.
Also I feel like the JIRA software itself is heavy weighted. I would suggest JIRA team to make it a bit lightweight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used JIRA for my project management and it is good tool for that usage. I have been benefited from JIRA a lot because it has helped me to complete my projects on time and gave a greater visibility over my project.
Another great part of JIRA is issue tracking. It helps the tracking of issues very simple and intuitive.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is very good for Issue tracking as well as project management. I highly recommend using JIRA.
Great tool, highly recommended!
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards feature is the easiest way to group projects and track issues; you can share dashboards with others so they can keep up on the progress of your team working through the tickets. It's easy to use, and has tons of helpful features such as being able to clone, tag colleagues by their ID, create a list of watchers to receive updates, etc. Jira had some upgrades fairly recently which I also really like; I particularly love that I can just drag/drop or copy/paste a screen shot without having to click through to upload a saved file. So much easier and quicker! I also love how the Jira tickets integrate so nicely with our other tools/widgets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over the last few months whenever I click a link to a JIra ticket, it opens the JIra ticket in a browser tab AND it opens a separate browser tab which notifies me of some issue, erroneously. I just close out the second tab. Not sure why this happens; it's a bit annoying if I am opening several Jira tickets. If I click 5 Jira links then I end up with 10 tabs (5 of which are erroneous) so it clutters things up a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use tickets to open and track issues, product fix requests, enhancement requests, etc. It's very beneficial to use this platform because we have multiple groups working on various types of issues, and the Jira system makes it really easy to group things, assign tickets to a certain group, follow dashboards, etc.

The unbeatable Jira
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is excellent when it comes to any project execution. Everything is organized within and we just need to know how to use it for our needs. Works well with Agile. Have integrated Jira with other applications using their REST APIs and they work as documented. Easy to consume and many options for integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
limited visibility into the server is a risk we currently face. It is sometimes difficult to troubeshoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management becomes easy. Some of the internal provisioning for customers is handled through Jira. Jira APIs are very handy and useful for purposes beyond project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fully understand the capabilities of Jira before you start using it. It could be hosted on the cloud or onprem and depending on where it is hosted, it can fit into your integration solution.
Complete task organization application
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the operation of the work boards. They are very useful when you work as a team and plan tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an application that has many features and it is very complicated to know where things are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to generate tasks, do weekly planning and organize with my co-workers. It is also very useful to record work times in each of the projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it to companies that want to plan tasks in a more organized way and to get a better perspective of the work plans.
