JIRA - Kanban/Scrum Board

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA Agile tool is very flexible for the developer. JIRA board is self-driven and more powerful for providing burndown chart. As well its too faster since it is cloud-oriented rather than physical mode. Kanban board is excited to see with more information driven by who in what.
What do you dislike about the product?
License is costly per user, sometimes parallel processing is delayed and information not coupled on time. Access issues is more sice anyone can change the board at any time wit out scrum master notifications. Reports are tought to make who knnow SQL queries only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Agile issues and reportings was solved by JIRA product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good Product bt cost is high per user in terms of license.

What do you like best about the product?
typically I'm a business user who is migrating into the business space. I am just learning Jira and it's capabilities. I like that it is easy to connect with so many other applications

Logging work at times is clumsy and confusing

Create new products with Jira

What do you like best about the product?
Cooperation is very easy. Integration with your bug tracking means you can clearly manage bugs and product improvements for one type of software in one location.
Collecting and tracking all historic data concerning an issue, in this way you can perfectly track the history and what was said or not said. The ability to tag any one of your users in Salesforce style. I also love the active engagement that the system creates from conception to delivery: everybody is envolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions are not simple to manage: very often it will happen that a certain user lacks the permission to start or stop a sprint or to move certain issues. In our model of cooperation it does happen that the roles are not that limited and that there is maybe not that clear a distinction between business and IT, with profiles mediating between the two, to that end we need greater flexibility on the permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has recently switched to agile development, to that end, having Jira is excellent, it allows us to manage our different agile squads, cooperate and keep track of our velocity.
We work with several on-premise developers but also with external developers that are not always on-premise. Jira enables us to work seamlessly together.

Connect Jira to your bug incidents as well.

Powerful project management tool for agile projects

What do you like best about the product?
Agile projects have a large amount of communication going back and forth between client and project members. JIRA platform helps to store all the project related data, requirements, issues, bug fixing and code versioning into one single and effective shell provided with a unique ticket number. This simplifies project management. JIRA has an easy to use UI(interface), for tracking and updating tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I did not find any problem with JIRA. It has all the necessary features for effective project management and issue tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA for maintaining all of our projects. It can be integrated with Eclipse IDE, which makes it easier to store the code and also helps in versioning. Its a powerful tool which makes our tasks much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool to use for project management. Might be hard initially during setup, but once everything is in place, this tool will automate most of your tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
It's got some nice usability and good design but I feel like it needs more, from the perspective of a new user it was too difficult to understand, more experienced users will have a better time using this software, easy to use bitbucket to handle repositories.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so easy to figure out for newcomers how to, for example: edit bug titles, edit bug weights, edit sprints, can't even figure out how to log into the site if for some reason you lose the link!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software development weekly - monthly sprints, bitbucket.

What do you like best about the product?
Highly efficient tool for tracking the work done by the team and planning the tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is quite high, the new UI/UX (updated mid of October 2017) is not user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning the overall workflow of the company and making the team collaboration more efficient. The best part is that you can use both Kanban and Scrum boards and switch between those workflows in one easy interface.

Jira is a very flexible project management software which can be adapted to your business needs thanks to their customised add-ons.

Best tool to be used during testing phases

What do you like best about the product?
Defect logging is very easy with Jira. The users can be tagged to the defects like we do on social media. Other team members can comment on the same about the steps and progress on the defect resolution.
Very effective for geographically dispersed teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Jira comments do not make use of Outlook email IDs/usernames. The employees need to be added to the company active directory to be visible in Jira. It should have an option of linking outlook or lotus notes as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We extensively sued Jira during the System testing and System Integration testing for the IT application. It helped maintaining SLAs and keeping a tab on bug counts really easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a good defect logging tool. Use it if you have large dispersed team and have bigger projects with multiple testing phases.
