JIRA is the right tool for me... and maybe for you?
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible, customizable, easy to use, and (mostly) intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex, a bit slow to learn, and very heavy. Also requires either installation locally (server admin rights), or that you keep your entire system on their server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and ticketing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it on your own server if you can. Learn quickly and move ahead fast. Don't worry about how to do little things - you'll learn.

What do you like best about the product?
Without JIRA we would have no cohesive way to leverage the cross-platform human capital as Kanban boards are instrumental to overall project success.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a strictly procedural sense - JIRA sometime hinders workflow completion due to task management from different swimlanes within the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-team collaboration, effective project management, and Project KPI management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have the need for all the features, as JIRA supports a wealth of information therein.

What do you like best about the product?
The way the boards look. The ability to collaborate easily. The time tracking features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve! Other than that, nothing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to track our work better and see what the team is working on/ versus not working on and track our productivity better in the office to take on and complete more work.
Jira-effective tool for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use the Kanban board layout makes it easy on every resource involved in the project to easily see what work they need to complete and in what priority.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of functionality available and training on the Product for all users would be really helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can use Jira in our Scrum meetings to help in our planning and its very efficient compared to using spreadsheets

I like the ease of use and tracking of our tickets and workflow

I wish there was a task reminder synced to my calendar

We are a software company and find it useful to watch progress of our projects
Powerful, but needs better tools for dependencies, scheduling, gantt type stuff

For any VERY agile process, JIRA is gold, as it as perfected the backlog/sprint format.
What do you dislike about the product?
Where you interact with other teams/departments/processes that are not PURELY agile, it finds limitations. Say your development release requires customer communication and training...how do you see the dates, risks to those dates, and final features to be released, and ahead of time enough for a training team or marketing team to plan around them?

Transition to Agile development!
Great customizable ticketing system
What do you like best about the product?
easy to search for tickets. dashboards. mentions and email alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
custom fields slow down production environment so our company has restricted new custom fields. difficult to track age of ticket between statuses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira for report requests. A big benefit is the dashboards. It allows each developer to customize and organize their work as they like best.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product. Can really customize to fit your workflow. The only drawback we had is our admins restricted the custom fields, but we ended up reporting directly from the database. Downside is that report is separate from the rest of the dashboard and requests. Works nicely with Confluence and other atalisaan products. We have customized components to build in logic and it really has saved us a lot of time and increase security.

interface could use some work (doesnt show asignee anymore, could maybe let people customize their jira pages), jira capture still a bit glitchy but so useful.
