Multifunctional tool,
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and the multiple way of using it
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be more user friendly for those, who are not IT oriented
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking project's work requirement
Decent project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is miles above better than our previous system, but it still isn't amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve and it can be difficult to track down what you're looking for in the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. We're much more organized with Jira.
Overwhelming at times, but effective
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is great for working cross-functionality across several agile teams, which is how I used it for a number of years. It provides great visibility for projects of all sizes and has some strong tagging capabilities. I loved being able to create project templates for ongoing initiatives.
I highly recommend using Jira + Confluence together.
I highly recommend using Jira + Confluence together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can be very overwhelming, especially for those new to it. It can require a lot of ramp-up time to successfully use the tool. For smaller teams, or teams just getting started with agile, it may make more sense to use a more basic tool. Another complaint is that Jira isn't terribly user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helped immensely for visibility into projects that spanned across several teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Allow for ramp up time, especially for new teams just getting accustomed to the tool.
Love it
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to manage and track multiple projects at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a few bugs when creating new tasks but nothing too bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira allows the entire team to work on multiple projects from multiple clients, manage time, allocate resources, and set priority.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get ready for a steep learning curve, you'll have to self train on almost every aspect of Jira.
Good tool for overall task management / hard to track specific asks
What do you like best about the product?
Can include several people to watch or interact at a certain task. Can include files in Jira tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it very hard to file jira tickets that I filed (including those that are closed). I would love to have an easy place to look at all the JIRA tickets that I filed or that I'm tagged into
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly using it to file requests to several marketing departments, namely marketing operations, demand generation, social media and creative teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a good set of processes in place so JIRA is not just a pain of a tool. Easy to become too much for an organization, when everything needs to go through a JIRA ticket (and some times it shouldn't)
Our project management lifeline
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create/submit tickets, assign tasks, track progress and link out to relevant articles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes new tickets default to the backlog, even when you set their priority level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't currently have a marketing project manager, so JIRA enables everyone to be a project manager. We also use JIRA across the business, so we can track other projects/tasks that are pertinent to our own areas of interest.
Useful for tracking projects so that others can see progress.
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, the best feature is the ability to create sub-tasks and linking projects that are related but separate.
What do you dislike about the product?
For an occasional user, the interface is difficult to learn. The text formatting options can be frustrating at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JIRA most often to divide and conquer large projects with multiple tasks working simultaneously.
End user of JIRA for Finance force bug fixes
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA for Finance force bug fixes has a portal for all the fixes update
What do you dislike about the product?
this benefits more to to technical side then the end user levels
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
this Jira helps mainly in Bug fixing and tracking purpose
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software is good for IT industry
very good application
What do you like best about the product?
easy to understand and change things around
create different projects, link to add-on applications that JIRA provides.
overall a great experience using it
linking the issues has been a saviour.. just so we could search for a ticket and see if there are any similar issues occurred in the past to find out if the current issue is the same

What do you dislike about the product?
QA Add-on's are very few where we can store the test cases and read through
the workflow can get messy if you don't particularly know where you are starting from
do not like the fact that for QAs, jira is just for product/project management but does not work well and is hard to find the tickets assigned especially when a task needs to be assigned to test. there should be a addon included in the basic jira software so we can have our part

looking into the user stories - the stories have been much easier to write and track them down when needed.
also creation of bug/story
dev tasks completion is something that we deal on a daily basis and track if they have completed their tasks so we can continue from there
workflow for SDLC is more important and never less when compared to the STLC, so the phases needs to be clearly mentioned for us to find a way and make life easier

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The workflow can be manipulated based on your company's size and easily understandable
Not for the organized...
What do you like best about the product?
Can't say there's much I like about this. I guess maybe the option to create your own custom dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you like to stay organized then there are much better project management tools that will do just that. It's not fun to look at. While I can appreciate the minimal design, I think -- given the nature of this product -- that it needs to be more visually appealing.
It's tricky navigating unless you've used it for a while. Even then, it can be confusing trying to find exactly what you're looking for -- especially when project names can be so similar in business.
Also hate the way notifications show up in emails. I know this is a feature you can turn off, but it's important to keep on because people will often forget to tag others who need to see it.
