Effective yet lack of functionality
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly when it comes to administration and flow management.
You can have simple users creating flows and processes for their use

What do you dislike about the product?
It has some limitation when it comes to reports and dashboards. I would expect to have better functionality on that end. It seems that if you don't work on the platform as they designed it, it will almost be imposable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage the development, manage deployment. SOX process. And also internal ticketing systems
Great for company's with multiple departments
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy for different departments to to both assign tasks and communicate internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to close an epic (past projects). I wish there was a learning function to replicate projects that were similar and see what improvements could possibility be made

Project Management, tracking department bandwidth.

What do you like best about the product?
We use Jira for tracking purposes in all of our projects. It helps our project management team keep track of all issues so we don't double-report.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes so far, it works very well to meet our limited needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great communication tool, as you can quickly see whether or not someone has already tracked an issue you're experiencing.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that this tool gives me insight into what everyone on my team is doing. It's making our team work alot more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. It would be nice if there was an easier way to add links to cards and assign comments to other users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA for our sprint planning process. It helps our team work more efficiently and gives us the ability to all better plan our time. There's also an increase in the transparency of work for the entire team.

What do you like best about the product?
With JIRA, I can track progress on User stories as well as tasks and bug fixes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The task titles are cryptic. I need to keep a list of JIRA tickets assigned to me so I can remember the issues with which they're associated.

It's a versatile system
Functional but in need of better user experience.

I like the simplicity of Jira and how easy it is to enter items.

The user interface feels a bit clunky and is a huge opportunity to improve.

Software bugs and enhancement requests are submitted through JIRA. We also track these items through JIRA.

JIRA has helped us answer the need to collect issues and requests as well as track them.

The service can get slow at times. It's also very intimidating for new users.

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA overall is great to use as a project management tool when it comes to software development, web development, or anything in the tech space in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while to get to really understand JIRA and it's full capabilities. It's a powerful tool that's inexpensive; however, it takes a while as some of the functions are a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have other PM tools that we use, however, we mainly use JIRA for development work as it's a widely used platform amongst the IT realm, making it easy for when we have to freelance work out.

Collaboration with Project Managers, Support members and Development Team - everything stays together.

I like Jira and don't have any dislikes about it.

Good tool to track defects in an Agile environment
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is easy to configure and manage. It's very user friendly to add/edit defects. Notifications are controllable. You can attach documents to the JIRA items to get additional ifnormation on defects etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA defects could go out of hand if the testing isnt managed appropriately. The escalation rules in JIRA could be done better. Generating meaningful metrics could also be challenging. JIRA may not be the tool for large sized engagements

We went through a cloud based HRIS implementation and used JIRA for defect tracking. In a global environment, JIRA can get difficult to manage

Assess size of implementation, BPM methodology used for the implementation and number of users that would use the tool prior to using JIRA
