Using Jira for the last 6 years
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is Awesome!
As like any Atlassian tool - The UX is simple, the user experience is great. The collaboration between users (such as QA, Developers, CSM, Team Leads etc.) is amazing (via the commenting, tracking, mentioning). In addition, the notifications mechanism is great as well (both notification panel and the email alerts).
Sprint planning is great as well.
R&D works much better with that tool.
In addition, the community is huge, with enormous data over the web. Lots of external useful module that can be added to Jira.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would improve some project management missing features. For example - better Burndown chart for management.
I would add additional modules for SAFE (such as the SAFE board) for scaled agile companies (for program increments, and program management roles).

Super bloated product with poor search
What do you like best about the product?
It's good to have a logging system for work that happens within the company
What do you dislike about the product?
-You'll need everyone on board on how to tag certain things
-Search is poor, and doesn't work well
-It can easily become extremely bloated
-Hiring program managers will likely occur when your organization grows just to manage Jira. It's one of those systems that beget more bureaucracy

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It'll be difficult to switch tracking tools as you'll have so much data stored with Jira. You're in it for the long-haul if you continue using it.
Great way to check off tasks

Hard to manage complex projects— when I had a complex project I’d get lost in it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Materials orders
Bug tracking made (mostly) simple
What do you like best about the product?
Jira allows everyone to collaborate together to follow the issue from start to finish. All the necessary parties can participate, which is important.
What do you dislike about the product?
The output can be somewhat bulky at times and doesn't always allow for the necessary addition of screenshots or context. This requires us to host screenshots on a separate Google space with links, which creates unnecessary added difficulties at times.

JIRA helps us to solve project escalations in a streamlined manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA will help you to track issues. I sometimes feel like, in my field, we need a little more flexibility in the interface, though. Make sure that you have a platform to host screenshots or other additional context when JIRA won't let you.
