The integration with other apps like zen desk makes it great for managing projects, and the history/comments all in one place are good for collaborating with a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think some of the recent UI changes were for the worse. Previously it was simpler to search and sort issues/enhancements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product management and bug tracking.
Well implemented project/bug tracking
What do you like best about the product?
It works pretty well out of the box. Customisation is easy, integration with other Atlassian products is good. Ability to handle internal and external facing tracking from the same platform is useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few UI inconsistencies. Debugging issues can be difficult given the Java nature of the platform. Authentication integration with FishEye and others can be a little confusing, but this has improved in more recent versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track and categorise bug reports and feature requests from both customers and non-paying users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We've found JIRA to be a pretty good fit for our requirements, covering development and support of a relatively niche software platform. I'd easily recommend it for this purpose, and would probably recommend people evaluate it for other support and issue tracking purposes too.

Super easy and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA has helped us change how we think about technical projects. We are more accurately estimating time to completion and are more thoughtful about breaking down the necessary tasks for a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly nothing. It's been a life-saver for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple technical projects with multiple executive sponsors and limited technical staff to design and implement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While JIRA is powerful and you can set it up for any business process, don't over-think the setup if you don't already have well-established business processes that you want to continue. Had we not over-thought the process we would have been an extra 2 weeks ahead by this point.
JIRA allows for customization

jira is the best product management system if you would like to customize everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow if you have large projects on the cloud.
