A lot of functionality but with a learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize my development process workflow. Integration with other Atlassian products (such as Confluence).
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty with changing templates that are shared across the company - affecting one workflow will affect workflows for all teams using that workflow so have to be extra careful. Some of the UI can be super, super clunky. Dragging things from one column to another will often have a delay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides single board view to all product managers and developers to track work in current sprint. Document and track bugs.

Great Issue tracking application

What do you like best about the product?
Provides a great platform for project communication and issue tracking. Love that there are a number of add-ons and other applications (We use freshdesk) to extend our support to clients and internal issues.The software also provides a powerful query capability so that we can always find what we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently there isn't anything that we dislike or a feature that comes to mind. Overall satisfied with the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We coordinate support issues with JIRA to track bugs, development and feature requests. The integration with other apps allows us to coordinate development efforts while keeping our clients in the loop as their request progresses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nothing that comes to mind.

Functional But Complicated

What do you like best about the product?
Our company uses it to track support tickets. I like the email notification functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overly complicated. It keeps much more information than necessary, yet it is poorly integrated into our project management and other CRM systems. The PMO and sales must use other software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows numerous shareholders to track the progress of tickets using email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly technical, but not good for project management. Some of the dashboards are difficult to work with.

Possibly the best Issue Tracker software

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of how we can costumize the workflow of issues and the possibility of creating other issue types
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really made for software development of multiple teams working on the same project (Backend, Web, Android, iOS). Makes is create multiple project and then we must resort to sync meetings and integrated project plans to keep everything on track. Add-ons exist to make this easier, but are expensive.

Also the pricing model is ridiculous, you pay for the total number of users you have, even when the addon will only be used by 2 or 3 users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira to keep track of all the development tasks and bugs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Depending on the size of the team, it can be a no-brainer. For big teams the cost is quote high, specially if you consider bitbucket and confluence.

What do you like best about the product?
the way it displays the issues and one can create the dashboards. The business is able to create their own dashboards which is very useful for bug tracking and issue resolving. The managers and other users can personalize their screens which h is also very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
it keeps hanging and logs out randomly. The single sign on is a a issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we were able to track all the issues at one place. we made modifications and enhancements to meet our business needs. It is highly customization which is a great benefit for any organization

please fix the UI and make it more user friendly

Jira helps with collaboration, stories, epics and managing tasks.

Jira is a great tool for use with agile and scrum based S D L Cs. It allows you to create stories and epics, track tasks and burn down charts, and share comments.

I like that I can easily search for issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permission levels. Sometimes closing a ticket isn't an option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use jira mostly for development projects but also for reporting bug fixes and general product issues. Since our parent company is located in another city it makes for easy back and forth communication.
