The Ease of Jira

  • January 04, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive Jira is. Really makes project management a breeze. You also don't need to be a tech savvy expert to understand it's interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
With any project management system, there are draw backs. For Jira, If you have lot going on it can feel cluttered and little overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project organization and ensuring all parties can follow the timelines. The collaboration piece has been huge!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue to expand upon the mobile capabilities.

One Stop Shop For All Project Needs

  • January 04, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA connects everything - test cases, stories, bugs, timesheets, tasks, users. It is very easy to have one tool for my whole team that does it all. It is user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the application will freeze up on me and I need to refresh the page. That seems to happen when I have many tabs of Jira open at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Timesheet tracking, project management, convinient location for all parts of the project, test case scenarios

For a smaller company JIRA has been very useful.

What do you like best about the product?
One place to store all the information about the projects we are working on. It's been nice to tie into the back end of JIRA and have MicroStrategy do reporting on our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of set up involved to get this going, and it isn't super intuitive how to do things. After we went through training it became much easier though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA to track project requests from the different divisions in our company. It's nice to have everything all together now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is a solid product in and of itself, but to unlock it's full potential I would think users need to use or purchase additional add-ons. I attended Atlassian Summit in 2017 and gained a far greater understanding of the company and their products. Overall I think it's great and worth your time to look at it.

Great for managing tech projects

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's great for managing your projects by creating epics, stories, tasks, bugs, etc. It allows you to track your projects along with complexities amongst team members. It allows you to project time spent over all on a story via tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the time tracking features can get a little bit cumbersome, also the learning curve can be a little bit steep and more so if you are coming from a different platform like Rally
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross team project management with various pipelines. It is great for managing and communicating across various teams. It gives an holistic overview of what projects are going and who is working on what and where things are in the current pipeline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a solid platform especially if you are using other products such as Hip Chat, Bitbucket, Confluence. It allows you to track project on a granular level including from defects, bugs, epics, stories, tasks, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Software used in Scrum Agile environment for bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management for teams.Provides real time reporting of the Sprint process from the very start.
Within JIRA, begin by creating the project. Will be able to add all relevant project Epics and user stories
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA Software has a range of reports that you can use to show information about your project, versions, epics, sprints, and issues, but the user interface isn't my favorite as far as project management software (Microsoft Project).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

•Prioritize backlog/Add Issues to backlog/view or edit issue
•Estimate Stories
•Identify user workloads ( all helpful when trying to firmly establish timeline for deliverables and meeting deadlines)

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the interface is clean, simple and easy to use. There are tons of features but they have done a good job of simplifying things so it does not get overwhelming.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to be able to create regular scheduled exports of specific search results and have more flexible reporting available, in general.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira with all the teams that have dev work, whether it is internal or external. It is a great central location for all the documentation and tracking through years of dev work.

Resilient trusted system, a lot of people already know it.
