Good task management Suite
What do you like best about the product?
Easy tooth navigate, good way to track tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with G Suite could be better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, project communication.
Configurable and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can modify just about anything. Very powerful admin features for defining workflows and reporting. I also like the very helpful error messages that display e.g. why isn't my field showing on this page? Which helps the admin navigate directly to the right settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I always found myself in need of more reporting widgets that didn't exist on the dashboards. Ended up having to export data and build reports outside of the dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency of what is being worked on and where it is in terms of status, helping the team not lose track of requests, helping the team articulate what they are working on and the relative priorities, efforts, and durations.
Best tool I’ve used
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to track, find cases. You are able to view the sprint and track who works on what case. The sprint boards are easy to follow, you can see statuses such as ready for dev, in development, ready for QA, in QA, ready to merge and finished.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ive found it hard to link test cases using Zephyr. But other than that, Jira is a wonderful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprint tracking, case assignment
Jira brings simple to complex software project management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira brings simple to complex software project management - it just works. Jira can be simple, yet very, very detailed/full when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding features like custom views, custom reports, or features that some of the other products offer are not as easy. Such as, for one particular project, our very small team wanted to strip back a LOT of Jira's features to focus only on the main functionality, and we could not do so, so ended up going with another product where we could. Jira is great, but can be too much sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing many areas of our business software dev, bringing key members and management together to collaborate along with our vendor portfolio. One platform that just works.
Great to manage tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Task creation, assignment & tracking. The best for open source as well
What do you dislike about the product?
Very slow at times. Integration is a pain mostly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management & tracking
JIRA, a great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Transparency to all team members and their ability to update the project at any time, any where.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be improved when looking for related or similar terms, especially when you don't remember the exact title or subject of the ticket you are searching for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with offshore teams in different time zones.
JIRA helps communicate important aspects of the project in a timely and efficient manner.
JIRA keeps the project launch date on time since every team member knows the deadline.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Superior for communications; it can replace email altogether
Great for Spring Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I have used for several years in a scrum master /PM capacity . I have used it to build springs, run sprints, requirements gathering, backlog review, grooming, estimating etc. Overall it works pretty well. You have the ability to build future sprints during sprint planning so.the team has an idea of what to work on next. The board itself is user friendly and you can use it as a true 2 week sprint board or as a kanbam board. We use both versions. Easy to track tickets and run reports of what was completed after issues have been closed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you do lose visibility once items have been completed and closed out of a sprint. Also when running reports the export options are limited..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to use the agile methodology in doing our work. Jira helps divide the work into small consumable pieces.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Overall it's a good product for running sprints.
Useful for burning backlogs and linear process flows
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is a great way to manage workload when you know what you need to do. Building a back log of tasks or deliverables is easy through creation of tickets, and then managing/assigning issues to owners and setting dates to track is just as easy. Kanban board and calendar views offer multiple ways of viewing and organizing tasks given time and personnel constraints. JIRA is also great for managing tasks through predetermined workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA is not a good tool for managing non-linear projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing business process workflows such as material testing. The ticket template allows for the right info to be enter red up front by the request or such that the task owner knows exactly what to do and how to prioritize.

What do you dislike about the product?
Seems daunting at first with too many options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Troubleshooting tickets, request tickets; great way to keep track and follow up
