Best used software for bug tracking
What do you like best about the product?
It's one of the best bug and issue tracking tool I have used in the industry. It has lot of features which can be extensively used to assign, audit and track bugs and issues. It has lot of project management features too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont really dislike anything about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
bug reporting and tracking
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Though there are lot of bug tracking tool in the market, I would really recommend everyone to use this atleast once and I bet you would be really happy to use it and also recommend to others. Managers can also use it for project management purpose.
JIRA Review
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty intuitive interface makes it relatively easy to navigate & utilize the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is incredibly open ended -- you can spend a lot of time combing through language & process instead of the project/task at hand. It has its moments where it can utilize a lot of your time when even completing simple tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management -- extensive communication between internal teams collaborating on projects/programs. It can eliminate spending endless time in meetings. Also helps when trying to solve IT issues. Working in such a large business vertical -- the demand of help from IT with tech issues can prove difficult. Helps track when they will fix issues.
Best tool for managing sprint work
What do you like best about the product?
I love most things about Jira but what I love best is how easy it it to keep large numbers of stories, tasks, and bugs organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira recently introduced a new UX which is not as intuitive as the old one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a PM what needs to write epics and stories, prioritize work for sprints, and track releases. Jira allows me to easily do all these things.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is very powerful and very customizable. I suggest starting with a basic implementation and only adding more when needed.
Jira for small, medium or XL teams.
What do you like best about the product?
Fits agile development methodologies for any size of teams - I've used it in a 2 person team, 5, person, 10 and ~100 people group. as long as users agree on the pattern of development it works amazing.
It works great just out of the box, but the ability to customize & control flows gives it it's edge.
It works great just out of the box, but the ability to customize & control flows gives it it's edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to generate a 'grand' plan for large scale project or get better visibility into development goals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage development tasks, procedural tasks & daily routines - estimate effort, development time and eventually deployment estimation.
Excellent tool for agile and scrum project tracking
What do you like best about the product?
The swimlanes and kanban boards are probably my favorite features so that my very visual-leaning team can easily see what we're working on and how far we're progressing. The notifications and labels also let me drill down into what each individual is responsible for and let them create their own dashboards so they don't get confused by the bigger picture, so to speak.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some complexity to setting up projects properly and if the rules and fields aren't set correctly at the company level before it even gets to a project, it can be difficult to train others around that without being an admin and being able to make changes myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do minor software development projects, migrations and upgrades, and customer Saas implementation projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make certain that your JIRA administrator is well-versed in what your department and/or area needs when configuring projects or it can be difficult to make changes later and some data can be lost in the transition!
