User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
it is very user-friendly and it has decent reporting.
As far as managing issues, I personally enjoyed the ability to attach screenshots very easily.
The Velocity Chart and Epic Burn-down Chart are also really helpful in monitoring the team's performance and the forecast of completing the remaining works.

What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting can be better. For example, customized reports are not very flexible.
In my experience, JIRA has been more effective for startups and medium-sized companies. But I dont think it might work well for large companies.
Also, fields are not dynamic. Once we choose a field, only the related values are showed instead of irrelevant values

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is switching gears from a hybrid waterfall process to a more agile methodology and JIRA has been helping us with this change.
JIRA is an agile solution we love
What do you like best about the product?
I like how JIRA organizes work across different teams. Creating tickets for work is simple, whether its an epic of work or a user story. JIRA is also a key tool for doing agile. We use it to run scrum meetings (to see what is actively being worked on and by who), the Agile poker tool to vote on the number of story points for a ticket, and to maintain a prioritized backlog.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching for past tickets can be difficult. Larger teams may have difficult navigating considering the number of boards and tickets. Atlassian does not have the best customer support and I have experienced times where the entire application has been down but not received any responses from customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA to increase efficiency and aid in keeping us Agile.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is the best option for product management software and keeping track of work for Agile teams.

Works great to get projects and requests to other coworkers in another country.

It bit of a learning curve, but easy to use once you get use to it.

Has a ton of issues when trying to configure per your company.

Delegating tasks to each project member and reviewing time to completion.

If configuring, make sure to test as you go because it gets buggy.

Ability to customize the product development process to what the team wants.

A little slow when you have a few thousand tickets, and adding tickets takes a little too many clicks.

Ability to manage multiple backlogs, report on engineering team's process, organize work in an efficient way.

Easy to run Sprints, estimate using story points; plays nice with other tools if you need integrations

Not aware of any mobile application - that would be something I would enjoy

We use it for managing Sprints for 60+ development teams.

Their new interface is great as is their search function.

Their notification system can be a bit hit and miss.

Tracking software bugs and new software features.

It's a great tool, don't really have any complaints.

In the world of product development, there is virtually no one (with more than one year of experience) that is not familiar with Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
It a world of data visualization tools, Jira is literally a world behind. There is a lot of great data contained within Jira, it is not always very easy to surface it. It is particularly bad as an executive-level tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira does provide a central depository of information, work history, and task management items that the entire dev team has access to. This makes communication within the dev team a bit easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is one of those software tools that everyone has complaints about but that few can point to a better way to accomplish their stated goals. Those who become proficient at its uses can maximize the value of the software.

Could have a better UI. Sometimes integrations are painful

JIRA offers a fresh, clean, easy to use interface that streamlines the process our company uses to track engineering tickets.

There is really not much I can think of when it comes to disliking JIRA.

JIRA is used for user submitting bug tickets, product management reviewing thme and passing them a long to engineering. The workflow is great within JIRA.

If you're looking for an all in one solution for bug tracking, you can't beat JIRA.
